So, I have to buy a christmas present for one of my co-workers. He's a good british fellow that really enjoys coffee and tea. Any suggestions as to what kind of coffee or tea brits may like? I would just ask, but that would just be too obvious now wouldn't it.

hmmm...well if you have any coffee/tea shops near your work, you can go on a break and tell your coworker your going there, and ask what kind of tea he likes to get him one ^_^

He makes coffee for the whole office every morning. Haha. He just uses the cheap stuff because that's what our secretary buys. Hmmmm.............

Twinings is a British tea house that makes a range of styles - they make boxes of assorted tea bags in their various styles. If you can get it, this saves the problem if, for example, you buy Earl Grey and he doesn't like it.

Interesting. Can I buy online?

You can buy it at the supermarket. There are some very nice long leaf teas in exotically-shaped bags that you can buy on-line, or at a gourmet shop. Chinese teas are also very nice, depending what one is into.

While its a good idea, something you may consider is finding a local coffee / tea shop and purchasing a gift card. Then he can get exactly what he likes, with no risk of giving it away, and no worries about him getting 8 out ten in the variety pack that he hates.Im betting you could do the same thing at the site ineligble gave you, give him a gift card for it that can be redeemed online witha better selection of upclass products. Not all sites offer that, but alot do.

Yes, that's a good idea.

Aha! With a combined effort, I believe we have found a solution. Thanks guys and lovely lady.

As far as tea goes, I don't honestly know how you could go wrong. Personally, I love trying new types of tea. My faves would be Earl Grey and Green, although there's many more specific varieties. Go to a speciality tea shop if there's any near you. There's two places I frequent, "Steeps" and "Cargo & James", and they have a ton of different types. There's green tea, white tea, black tea, herbal teas, and many variations within. One of my favourites is Houjicha green tea.Do you know which one of those types he usually drinks? My bets would be on black tea, although green tea possibly. If you can find a tea shop, or if you want to order something online, just try getting a type of black tea that you think would appeal to you based upon the description (or if the local place is good you'll have tins or jars you can open to smell the different types of tea).I'm just recommending this because it's something a little more unique than something standard like Twinings which he can get anywhere (don't get me wrong, I have big 100 packs of Twinings Earl Grey and Green tea and it's good, but it's nothing unique).
