Hey everyone I have a question~. It seems to me that a few days after I have sex I am more likely to have thick discharge (almost like a yeast infection), which comes and goes. It usually has no strange odor (and if it does, it isn't a yeasty smell or a fishy smell, just a stale kind of smell). I've been using Fat free organic yogurt with live cultures and putting a bit directly into the vagina and it seems to help a bit.I've already been to the doctors once about it because I thought it was BV (which I have had before). We were really unsure at the time of what it was, and I don't believe she did a check for yeast but did suggest over the counter medications for yeast problems. I am just worried that I will be using it constantly. I do not have diabetes (I get checked regularly because of family history), and if anything I usually have low blood sugar.I have a history of frequent yeast infections in my family, so do you think that this could just be a slight yeast flare up? Could it be a reaction to the spermicide in the condoms? It usually doesn't itch, and I have no pain during sex. Do you have any suggestions, if it is yeast, how to manage it?Thanks guys, and sorry for the long post.

Discharge cycles?

If I were you, I'd give up the spermicide. If it's nonoxynol-9, it doesn't add much value.

Are non-spermicidal condoms more expensive? I know they have to be easy to find. I'm going on birth control soon, so that'll be fine...

No.Whether or not you're on birth control, the spermicide doesn't seem to make you any less likely to get pregnant.
