Ok, i know i posted something about this some time ago, but i have some more info on it.I have some sort of problem (i think) on the head of my penis, just near the rim there is often a small red patch like thing. And just under the rim, sometimes there is a red patch/bump. its usualy there, but sometimes its not. I notice it when its at different temperatures and sizes. Sometimes it moves, sometimes i can see it as a small red bump (mainly when erected), or sometimes as few red bumps. Its rather difficult to explain. Sometimes when i pull the foreskin right back, there is a red mark on the thin layer, where you can see alot of the small veins, but im sure thats got nothing to do with it.I will also add, that i have some kind of ezsma/dermititis on my hands (And feet) and i havent really noticed it anywhere else on my body. I use cream but nothing helps. Im going to a specialist on friday. Could someone give me some info on what fungal and yeast infections are like? I have been puting a general anti fungal cream on it, just incase. It hasnt seemed to do anything. My girlfriend is on the pill (she is a virgin), i dont really want to have sex with her while i have it, incase its spreadable.I shall also add that i havent had sex in over a year, and im fairly sure my last partner was clean. This problem came up around a month or two ago.I apreciate any help.-Zoo

You might want to see a doctor. A skin doctor. Dermatologist. Its better to get a professional opinion. =P

Im going to see one in a few days, i was just hoping someone here could give me some suggestions as to what it is, so i could mention it to the doctor.
Cheers -
Could be either — from what you say in the original post it can’t be known whether it’s just the eczema or a fungal infection. If antifungal treatment doesn’t help, it’s likely not fungus, of course; but you can’t know in such short time.Post back once you had the appointment

Ok, well thismorning i had my apointment. The doctor thinks that i have Psoriasis (wich is on my hands and feet). And under my figner nail (Wich was tested lastyear, and it came up as fungal. The both look very similar so i wouldnt be suprised if it was fungal)
And he said that the mark on my penis can also be Psoriasis.
I guess its just one of those things that i will never know the right answer to. All i know is that i dont want it to get any worse! :frowning: -
Could well be. I have that sh*t on my scalp. No dandruff shampoo can get rid of it, and it only gets better if I wash my hair every day AND don't have stress :smirk: Even then it doesn't ever clear up completely.
Used to have some on the back of my right hand and on my left hand's knuckles -- that one went away though, thank goodness.
One creme that seems to have good effect on me is Elocon(r), I don't know the active ingredient by heart, but I'm fairly sure that whatever name it goes by in your area (gotta love brand names!), it's not OTC.
Could try changing your shower gel or soap for something milder, too -- can't hurt.

Yeah, thanks for this.I have tried elecon, and it didnt help. Im on this fairly potant cream at the moment and i havent seen an improvement. But i havent been using it for long so i will let it take its course.Im still freaking out about the spot in my penis though...It would be so embarrasing to have it there. The cream im using for my hands is too strong to use down there. So im just using betnovate at the moment.

Funny you mention betnovate/betamethasone: it is occasionally recommended for people with tight foreskins to encourage skin cell growth.

Topical steroids thin out the skin, so it can be more easily stretched.
