Ok,so I've spent the last while stretching my foreskin and in the last few days have managed to get it all the way down, behind the head, when flaccid. I've read that it should go down the shaft but that seems physically impossible. First of all there's my fremulum and he's not very accommodating.
But, it also seems as if my foreskin is attached to the base of the head. Is this normal or what should I do now?
P.S. These stretching techniques and other pieces of info on this site have been really helpful, so thanks. I just couldn't find anything like this.

Another tight foreskin

Quote: managed to get it all the way down, behind the head, when flaccid. Get it behind the head when erect. Once you've done that you've won.

I'm not having any problems getting the foreskin behind the head now when flaccid, although there is this kind of plucking sensation when I pull it back at the start.Today I pulled it to down to the base of the head, without actually going under, and got myself hard so I could stretch it more. I tried this method with tensing your pc muscle aswell. As I was doing this, though, my frenulum really began to pull. Is this ok and a good way to stretch it or are there better techniques? My meatus also gets pulled downwars (well, towards my body) when I do this. This is quite uncomfortable and caused a slight burning/stinging sensation. My last question is in relation to condoms. When I put the condom on, should I pull the head back behind the glans and then roll it over? or should I not quite pull it fully behind and let it roll with the condom itself? I have looked for these answers in previous posts here but haven't been able to find anything definitive. Thanks for the previous reply aswell sdp

You are doing it correctly.Another method is to retract when flaccid, then roll the forskin back over your fingers such that you have 2 fingers inside the forskin and then use the fingers to stretch out the opening. When you have a burning sensation, you are overdoing it. back off. With a condom, you fully retract then then roll the condom onto the head and over teh retracted forskin.

I've continued with the stretching but I still can't get it back when hard. I went to my GP last week about it and he told me that I'd need to get a circumcision. I asked him about stretching and methods other than circ. but he told me that there is no other way. I really dont want the op but according to him, there's no other way. Should I persist with the stretching or just give up and accept that circumcision would be best?

Should I persist with the stretching or just give up and accept that circumcision would be best?Your GP's full of shit, mate. If you've made progress doing what you have been, then that same progress will continue. Did he offer you some steroid cream to help with your stretching? Even without the cream, you can stretch. It won't go quite as fast because of two things. First, the knob, obviously gets quite a bit bigger when you have a stiffie, so that opening at the tip of your foreskin is having to stretch quite a bit more than when flaccid, and, secondly, with a stiffie, your knob also fills with blood and it doesn't compress like it does when you're flaccid.
The other thing i would mention is that you can have very satisfactory sex with your foreskin forward. Consider that we've done it for years whilst having a wank, so it isn't as if everything's on hold waiting for progress. If there's a bit of discomfort for any reason, some Astroglide from the sex shop will put that right and probably make things more comfortable for your partner too.

I agree - your GP sounds ignorant about the foreskin. There are other options still, and the fact your GP wants to rush immediately to circumcision as the only solution leads me to believe he doesn't know what he's doing. Two other options before I would ever recommend circumcision are:1 - Steroidal cream - this is a prescription ointment that helps loosen the frenar band of the foreskin (usually the tightest part of the opening of the foreskin, kind of like a ring of skin near the tip of the foreskin opening). 2 - Dorsal slit - A urologist can make a small slit in the foreskin and frenar band, which allows the foreskin opening to expand more. This is minor surgery, but its much easier than circumcision, and allows you to keep your foreskin. I would seek another doctor, preferably a urologist who knows about foreskin.

That's the problem, it just doesn't have that much sensation. It takes ages for me to cum, if at all. I know it's all in my head and people will tell me to relax, don't worry about it and it'll all be ok. That's easier said than done, I'm afraid. 'm seriously considering a circumcision at this point (to relieve me of all my problems!!).No, my GP didn't recommend any steroid cream, he basically just said flat out that I need a circ. and there's no other choice.I've been looking on the web for sites and a greater balance of opinion but some of the stuff could only be described as propaganda http://www.circlist.com/preferences/circtv.html#US_Troop_Perplexed_by_British_Foreskins I really appreciate anything you can add. Thanks

Circlist in particular has a heavy pro-circ propaganda going on, so it's hardly a source you'd want to use if you want to keep your skin and make it work (which is nowhere as impossible as Circlist people seem to claim).

Is it possible to get some kind of sterile cream without prescription? I'm living abroad at the moment and so, haven't got a GP here. It's the same problem with finding a Urologist.
One of the methods of stretching which I read was to put your index finger and thumb inside the opening and to expand it like an elastic band. I thought I read something about gripping the glans and rolling the foreskin back up over your 2 fingers to stretch but can't remember where (or if) I read it. Is this true/possible?
Looks like I'll end up getting a circumcision in August, so if I haven't stretched it sufficiently by then, I think I'll be persuaded to go ahead with it.

You'renot going to do with a thumb.. Your index fingers or pinkies to start.

"I read was to put your index finger and thumb inside the opening and to expand it like an elastic band." -- well, more likely you'd be able to put two pinkies or two index fingers in there; and pulling apart with two hands like that should do the trick. The part where the thumbs get involved is when you grasp the end of the skin with two fingers, using both hands, kinda like you open a sock you want to pull up on your foot. So, one hand on the left, one hand on the right, grasp the skin between the thumb and the index finger. Pull it upwards and try to stretch it open. Hold it that way for a while."I read something about gripping the glans and rolling the foreskin back up over your 2 fingers to stretch but can't remember where (or if) I read it. Is this true/possible?" -- I remember this one too, and it's nowhere impossible, problem with it is that you get in contact with the glans which is likely to be very sensitive."Looks like I'll end up getting a circumcision in August" -- come on, don't be silly, you've achieved so much already.

Just an update on my situation. I finally bit the bullet and after consultation with my GP and with a urologist, I decided to get cut. The operation was yesterday and so far so good.
It was done under general anaesthetic and although I was in the hospital for a good 8 hours, I'm glad I went through with it. I haven't felt any pain at all yet, just some slight discomfort. Woke up twice last night with an erection and couldn't get rid of it. At least now I know get into the foetal position. The bandages are due to come off tomorrow and I'm just hoping that it all goes smoothly.
Edit: On the point of taking the bandages off, some people say it should be done after a couple of days, others after 5 or 6. Ideally I'd like to leave it on til after tomorrow but I don't want to go that long without washing myself or the wound.
What do people think? Is it better to take off the bandages and let it heal in the open air or should I keep it tightly packed together with the bandages and let the skin begin to bridge?

sounds like similar to what I had. and I ended up getting a circumcision after several months of stretching and steroid cream. I would say you should try every day to stretch it then if by next summer you havent cured it go for the circumcision. I bought some betamethasone cream over the internet but its not of too much use on the frenulum and it thins all the it touches equally

Did you even read the thread?

That's the thing. My operation was rescheduled and there weren't any beds left in the day clinic for me. I started off in one ward and after the operation was moved to another. Nobody really explained anything about the aftercare to me. Before I was discharged, I ended up traipsing around the hospital looking for an information sheet, which I found. I'm just not sure on one particular point.
When I read the account of one guy's circumcision here, he said that the doctor told him to leave the dressing on for 5 days and not to bathe before then. I've already had a bath (48 hours after the op) but the dressing is still on. I'm not sure whether I should have taken the dressing off myself or let it come off naturally. At the moment I'm going to let it come off naturally or when it feels right. Is this a bad idea and will it slow my recovery?
