I recently had unprotected sex with someone and shortly afterwards discovered this spot. Its completely painless and flat. Its almost like dry skin. Its circular and a little less than a centimeter in diameter. The doctor mentioned that it was probably a wart, but I have been doing research on the net, and it looks nothing like the examples I have seen. Can someone tell me how I can find out what it is? The closest picture that I have seen is an early stage of syphilis, but I'm not sure.

I would lean towards what your doctor says. Did he recommend a treatment?

Please define shortly...
And you say it's 1 cm in diameter? That's pretty big. You need to give us some more details in when what occured and how long it's been the way it is.
Go to a different doctor or doctorS, see what you get back. All i can say try not to research the internet too much because it can get you worryed at times over nothing.
And i agree with the guy above, 1cm sounds quite big. Like i said go and get it checked by several doctors and go to a sexual health clinic or sumthin.
Shortly afterwards would have been a day or two later. I can't really remember.
The doctor I went to suggested freezing the spot (because he thought it was a wart). Then he said that if it was frozen and it shrinks, it was a wart, but if it didn't shrink, he'd have to do further tests. Its been 2 days now since he froze it and it hasn't shrunk.
And it's my mistake. The spot is about half a centimeter in diameter.
Thanks for your help.
