I've noticed I can't run as far anymore.I get out of breath or winded very easily. I cannot even hold my breath under water for too long; maybe like a few seconds - then I start panicking Is there a way to train your stamina to be higher; endurance?

Stamina.

Exercise. Do you do it? Do you smoke?

Just keep exercising (running or whatever) until you physically can't run any longer. It is surprising how far you can actually run when you don't want to. If you keep doing this you will train your body. Then you should become better at keeping breathing in check.Mr. Nuts

Eeep. For how long? It's a horrible feeling being winded. I can't grasp for air! As if I'm choking. I don't have asthma, I don't think at least.I'll try running then; how much do I run?
-
Unless you're doing basic training for the Army, you don't need to run until you drop. You should get at and run (or bicycle) at least a few times a week. "Running" can be jogging, unless you're into long-distance running. Run until you're pretty winded, walk for a while, try running again. Keep doing it, and you'll increase your endurance, unless you have a cardiovascular problem. Run a little further each time.Bicycling is also great, more fun than running, and is less rough on your joints, but it takes longer to get the same amount of aerobic exercise.

Are you wanting to train for anything or just in general? If you have a target it'll be easier to know how much running you need to do to improve your stamina.
I would sudgest to go for a run that takes you about 30 minutes at your first attempt to complete, this could be round the block a few times.
Time yourself every time you do this run, eventally you'll be able to do the run in a quicker amount of time, so that run that took 30 mins originally may eventually take less than 20-25 mins.
When you get to this level, increase the distance, maybe do an adtional lap of the block to add a few more minutes and work at that.
Good luck, have run

I'm training for anything at the moment. It be nice if I could stop sucking at Gym when we're doing races though How much do you think I should be able to run, in 30 mins? Kilometers wise. Would jogging also work? I tried doing it - I didn't get winded or out of breath very easily. Should I just get a stationary bike?? Or... hold my breath underwater, lolol.

Yea...No gain in stamina... Now I even get winded from skating; it's ruining sports now too.

What are some? And, isn't ATP used in cellular respiration?
