Okay,
I'm not sure where to put this,
but I have a question
where do you look to find the date something was posted?
I don't want to ever bring up old threads, so it'd be useful info to know.
Time - Date

1.) Look at the title of the post.
2.) Then move your eyes to the right.
Yes,
I get that,
but most of the time it just says something like 4
well,
that just gives me the month
where can I get more specific?
Just a four? What it should read is first the post number (#000000), then the date, and then the time. If the post is recent, it'll either say "Yesterday" or "Today" at some time OR # minutes, # seconds ago.Check your "My Preferences" and see what time format you are using.EDIT: Typo
you should see something like "#254114 - 01/10/07 03:41 AM"
Really old posts have something similar to "#268892 - 3" that. No date. Maybe something in prefs.
it's not just a case of age... I just looked back to this "#7128 - 03/05/04 08:07 PM "
Oh thats cool! For the first 3 years of this forum, up to 03/05/04, there were about 7,128 posts. now 3 years later there have been a further 263,418. Talk about expansion!
I think it may be because of the whole forum changed. I have seen old posts with no dates beside them.
Cider, I fixed your time/date stamp.
If anyone is having a similar problem... Go to your preferences and change the Time display to something else.. I chose Sat Apr,14 2007. I know that works.. I haven't tried other ones.
Felix, I fixed yours too.
All anyone has to do is go and pick anyTime/Date display format and click the Submit button.
Apparently when you register it doesn't set the display format so probably every new member doesn't see the time/date stamp until they go in and change it themselves.
Can any new member verify this?
Thanks very much,
That's much better.

Yep, it's working now, thanks.
