You can't get any form of birth control? The only other thing you can do, aside from the spermicide, is mutual masturbation or abstain from sex.You can get a diaphragm. But I think you need a prescription for that. However, those aren't really effective. Here is a link that shows the effectiveness of birth control methods. Birth Control Effectiveness

yes well i used to take the pill, but i recently lost my doctor. im away from home at college anyway, which just happens to be in the middle of no where town... i may not be able to get back on the pill any time soon.maybe i should just switch to the shot anyway.

Doesn't your college have a student clinic? I expect they hand out a large number of b/c pill prescriptions. Or can't you get to a family planning clinic, like Planned Parenthood, just for one visit? Or any doctor or nurse practitioner? The fact that you have had success with one of the pills should make it easier.

Like Steve said, check out your university health clinic. They should have a wide variety of birth control methods available.P.S.--Don't go on the shot. I was on the shot. I attempted suicide while I was on it. My emotions, along with my period, was out of whack.

Shot, pill, whatever -- you have to keep an eye on your mood. Any of the hormonal forms of birth control can cause depression in some women...but they may have no problem with another form.

My mood got slightly better when I got on the pills. It wasn't 100%, though. That's a different story for a different forum.

My ex was on the birth control patch, but she gained weight from it. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.
