I have to prove nothing to you.. you'd have to prove it to me. You'd have the burdon of proof if you'd make such a claim.
Hell if you were Jesus, you yourself would be in deep shit. -
Well played. You now understand the informal logical fallacy of proving the negative. Now prove that Jesus is a divine spirit/being/whatever.

Again I have to prove nothing because it's my faith. I am not asking for you to partake in my faith, but regardless it's my faith. Now if I were forcing something on you and trying to force you to believe it, than I’d have the burden. But I personally, am not doing that.

As long as you keep your faith out of my life and out of the politics of my community and my country, I don't care if you worship flying monkeys. Unfortunately, a lot of your evangelical brethren don't see things that way, and we're stuck with repeated battles over teaching creationism in public school, and homosexuals being demonized, among other idiocies.Speaking of which, Ted Haggard is back from rehab. He claims his homosexuality has been fixed. Since his audience of fundamentalist Christians believes that homosexuality is simply a bad behavior that one chooses, they should be happy now.
-
I read about that recently, not his, but others, churches that set up classes and therapy to drive the devil and sin from you so that you can be a good christian again and be with members of the opposite sex instead of sinning and shitting on jesus with your unpure thoughts and dirty dirty sex.I find it odd that they still think they can "cure" homosexuals and make them "good for god"

God hates homosexuality, in case anyone was wondering. From yesterday's New York Times:Quote:February 6, 2007Haggard Pronounced 'Completely Heterosexual'By THE ASSOCIATED PRESSFiled at 9:59 a.m. ETDENVER (AP) -- One of four ministers who oversaw three weeks of intensive counseling for the Rev. Ted Haggard said the disgraced minister emerged convinced that he is "completely heterosexual."Haggard also said his sexual contact with men was limited to the former male prostitute who came forward with sexual allegations, the Rev. Tim Ralph of Larkspur told The Denver Post for a story in Tuesday's edition."He is completely heterosexual," Ralph said. "That is something he discovered. It was the acting-out situations where things took place. It wasn't a constant thing."Ralph said the board spoke with people close to Haggard while investigating his claim that his only extramarital sexual contact happened with Mike Jones. The board found no evidence to the contrary."If we're going to be proved wrong, somebody else is going to come forward, and that usually happens really quickly," he said. "We're into this thing over 90 days and it hasn't happened."Haggard resigned as president of the National Association of Evangelicals last year after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced. He was also forced out from the 14,000 New Life Church that he founded years ago in his basement after Jones alleged Haggard paid him for sex and sometimes used methamphetamine when they were together. Haggard, who is married, has publicly admitted to "sexual immorality."Haggard said in an e-mail Sunday, his first communication in three months to church members, that he and his wife, Gayle, plan to pursue master's degrees in psychology. The e-mail said the family hasn't decided where to move but that they were considering Missouri and Iowa.Another oversight board member, the Rev. Mike Ware of Westminster, said the group recommended the move out of town and the Haggards agreed."This is a good place for Ted," Ware said. "It's hard to heal in Colorado Springs right now. It's like an open wound. He needs to get somewhere he can get the wound healed."It was also the oversight board that strongly urged Haggard to go into secular work.Buncha haters.

Umm...the Christian one? If you read the appropriate bible passages, you will see that they are correct -- as fundamentalist Christians or Jews, anyway.
Thor, what do you think about that? I'll bet you agree with me that the bible says that homosexuality is not to be tolerated. -
See, this is why people believe in God. He is a completely fictional character that has the exact same ideals of the person who follows him, or the ideals of the minister, or the ideals of the parent. My God hates Jews. My God hates homosexuals. My God hates Steve.

My god can kick your god's ass."God" represents a person's own belief system, as you say, but people need the imprimatur of a great supernatural being to be sure of their beliefs, so they make one up. Problem solved.

And some people prefer to interpret the bible as being the literal word of God. They have their faith, you have yours. The bible clearly states that homosexuality is sinful and wrong.Personally I think that kind of hate is wrong for reasons that have nothing to do with the supernatural.
-
It's not like God's doing all this. It's us.God doesn't kill; we kill in the name of God. It's said when they use Him as an excuse. Wanna hug?Anyway, did anyone notice how ugly the people are in the video? Make a video Chance and beautify it up.

So thor, does keeping an open mind apply to belief systems that conflict with your own? Your crack about Mohammad being a false prophet while Jesus is the son of God makes me think not.Yet you say we should have an open mind. Apparently that only applies to your beliefs; we should all have an open mind toyour beliefs. Are the idol worshippers right or wrong? I doubt that you would say that idol worshipping is OK if it's your own reality.Let's find out how big a hypocrite you are. And how about those homosexuals, eh?
-
LOL Steve...you're in serious need of a chill-pill.
As far as I know, God loves homos as much as he does heteros...which doesn't change how God thinks (as written in the OT) concerning homosexual behavior (the person and the behavior being two separate things).
Eddie and other homosexuals have to work their own salvation out for themselves...it's not my job to play "cop", though I will say what I think when asked. (Okay...and sometimes when not asked, too.)
But I never claimed Mohammad to be a false prophet...I only suggested it as one possibility. You contantly and consistantly put your own words into others mouths, which is why some folks are fed up with talking to you about anything.

Yes the bible states it is wrong, or at least not as he intended. But in the bible no where does Jesus or God say himself that homosexuals are condemned to hell (It was said by prophets yes). But I suppose that can be debated, but I feel I am good with god and for me that's all that matters. And regardless of religion I think it's wrong as well, Steve. I think people need to mind their own business. Us being gay is not affecting their lives directly. I think it would almost be an amazing world if people just learned the simple rule of "Mind Your Own business" LoL.

I'm not worried about the "down-side" because personally, deep inside, I don't feel there is one.
