Not too long ago (last month) I was out of towna few days adn returned to shovel 3 feet of the white shit from my driveway, from a storm that lasted 2 fucking days, I live right off the edge of the great salt lake, storms get stalled over that damned thing then build up more moisture and head south when presure changes and I get shit on 2 times for each storm.

I hate you! I want snow so bad you don't even know. You can't even begin to comprehend how much I want snow right now. I have a research paper and two tests due tomorrow and I didn't even start writing or studying. God have mercy!and I need some sleep

I just want this shit to go away!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH!
-
Yeah same here, try talking when you're in college, and have to walk to class, and they don't cancel school, EVER. lol
-
any CO citizens here? yeah, we have had freezing (and usually less than that) days and nights for manys moons now. it sucks. it'll warm up slightly durring the week, up to about 30 then, once saturday's precense comes in, so does the snow. on top of that, our house is north-facing so my driveway is a fucking hockey rink!
-
ahh yes.. I went to a college that was located in the snow belt by the great lakes... we had significant snow from October 1st through late April (sometimes May) all four years I was there... trudging through that snow was the biggest pain in the ass..
...but now I'm home in MA and we haven't had significant snow fall yet this winter... though I probably shouldn't complain too much b/c we're supposed to get 12 inches tonight w/ lots of freezing rain and sleet tomorrow... which is still not much of anything.. except for the fact that I have to drive to work in it.

Wow, it hardly gets that bad where I live. Well, in my hometown at least. Were you in Michigan by chance? Here at college the snow's been on and off, for the last week maybe it started melting away, then today we suddenly had a huge blizzard, and now snow's covering everything. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping school gets cancelled tomorrow lol.

The storm that hit me is the one headed your way. Same stuff hit my state as is to hit yours. Colleges and schools have been cancelled, counties under snow emergency = police can arrest you if you are out driving. I don't think I have ever seen so many colleges canceled, and they have been for 2 days now. I went outside earlier with a yard stick and stuck it in the snow right off my porch and it measured 20" of snow, now remember that is drifting, crazy stuff. I think my city got about 11"-12" of snow. CRAZY!!!

Well, we're not getting all the snow you got.. it's turned to a mix of snow and freezing rain... so, we're only supposed to get 8-12" of snow, but the roads are nasty.. I had a doctor's appointment today that was canceled, and I was supposed to go into work later today, but the store closed... so I'm at home cleaning instead..

a few years back we made the trip to cali just to summit the highest peak. We have a couple a year beenhitting all the states for highpointing. Iv been to the top of california, and Imust say you guys really have no mountains, atleast not what falls into the category of mountains where I live. Ill give credit for Mt Whitney, its a bit over 14 k but thers not much more there thats any decent mountains. Especially not around San Diego where you are. You dont get to whine and bitch about snow in this thread, the last time I was in san diego and saw snow it waws at winter discovery in fucking sea world when they first got the penguins. I could figure out those fucking kids playing in teh snow, all happy and shit when I had come to cali to escape that very same shit during christmas vacation.

We had ice first, then snow, then ice on top of that. I love snow and lots of it...but it's the ice that sucks.

It hasn't snowed in my part of Georgia (suburb of Atlanta) all winter. We got sleet and freeing rain last month, but not enough to close anything. Not even flurries. Even north Georgia hasn't gotten much of anything this year.

5 grand ? pfffft thats taller then mount carmex or is it carmel? just east of san diego but before el cahone.
I live at about 4k,. -
I shoveled for 9 hours today.

So, if anyone missed me yesterday....I was snowed in at home. The snow was over the top of my tires on my car. I had to pay some kids to dig my car out. The day before I left work at 5:00...didn't get home until 7:00...it usually takes me 20 minutes. If I ever get out of stupid, butt-town Ohio....I am moving someplace where it never snows!!

I was as well. It got so deep it was actually post my tires of my car. Stupid enough my bodd didn't cancel work BUT all the staff, but two called off because we were all snowed in. Now it all needs to melt and go away because I am already tired of it.
And I'm with you, when I move next it'll be somewhere warm. I cannot handle all this lol.

May i suggest for you two Yuma Arizona? Its five minutes to mexico, in the 80s during december and only about 3 hours to san diego and the beach. Its where Im currently looking at setting up a move to myself.I cant afford california, Yuma is reasonably priced, a big desert to explore, a scant hour or so from some pretty cool shit, and has rivrs (canals) running through the middle of town. itfeels small townish especially in summer, but nearly doubles in winter as the snow birds come to stay int eh sun.The down side is that while it is warm in winter its hot as fuck in summer.like 110 to 120. Remeber that shitty movie rambo 3? the scenes on the cliffs were filmed there. its a pretty fucking nice town really, Iv spent some time there and love it, wild road runners coming up to you in the front yard, all that rock, minerals, did some gold digging in teh desert there with a dry washer, even found osme gold on that trip. good food, all in all pretty fucking decent people, and it never snows there. Its also about thes ame distance to vegas as I am now, vegas is nearly the mid point for me when I hit yuma. Iv made it from my house to yuma in 11 hours, that included a 2 hour stop in vegas and a hour stop in cedar city to eat and get gas. Of course I drive alot faster than most people do and I use alot of backroads that cut alot of time off. from the roud past light house and just yuma side of vegas you can hit bishops cali for some very nice bouldeirng and climbing. My other choices are Oregon and washington, something aroudn the pugent sound or maybe closer to portland.but yuma ahh yuma thats motorcycle weather all 12 months of the year. Iv eaten alto of place in mexico and off taco stands in the yuma area, not to mention swam int eh rivers by the old prison, I never once got sick and the people there are pretty damned friendly. you can always take the 3 hour drive to san diego, then jaunta scant 20 minutes to TJ and take in a donkey show as well, shit make a weekend out of it. I regularly drive 2 hours north to see friends and 3 hours north to buy lotto tickets and booze every 5 weeks.
