Does anyone know of a program that allows a user (for home use) to hack into online accounts by storing your password onto their computers? They are able to log into your account and everything. Someone did this with my facebook account.

Password tracking

I don't know what program they could have used, but I do know it can be done to MySpace accounts as well. Usually if you change your password it'll take care of it... at least it did on my MySpace account.
-
I changed my passwords for both, but I'm still paranoid about it.
-
as long as you changed ur password u should be fine for quite a while probably for good
-
if you mean can someone retrive your log in information from the computer you used to log in... then the answer is yes, definately. There is software that runs invisibly on a pc or network that tracks all key strokes, takes screan shots and records any chat applications such as MSN or AIM.
-
Lets say you used my compuer and logged in. There are files if you knwo where to go to find them that will have that info in it an I can sign into your account after you go home.If someone has a key logger installed that would also give them yuor password, if you signed in on thier computer. If thats nto te case then its most likely someone you know that did it, someone that has a clue about what you may use for a password.Wanna use my computer to sign into your accounts?

given what happened on my computer in the past, I'm sure one could imagine that nothing happens on this machine without a detailed record

Oh Mr.U, do tell us the story again about the bitch and the kid!! Please!?!?

Yes, definitely. Hackers can achieve this by using a program called 'keylogger'. They will be able to see everything that you type.
I suggest doing a virus scan and remove malicious software.

Someone did this with my facebook account. Because you probably clicked on some link that was part of some message. Both my kids had their Myspace accounts hacked and had a ton of spam being pposted in their name. They changed their passwords and it's OK now. I told then to never click on any links anymore.
-
Wow, your kids must have a very interesting home page if they still use the internet. I would get kinda bored if I couldn't click any links on the internet.
-
Links that are part of someones message in Myspace. Like "Look at what my friends did this weekend!!!"
-
What if you didn't click on links?Okay, my ex was able to log into my facebook account. He's not sophisticated with computers, so he wouldn't know how to do a keylogger. The only way he would be able to do this, IMO, would be to retrieve my log in info on his computer deep in the Internet cache files. With that said, I never allowed Internet Explorer (the only browser he uses) to save any stored passwords on his computer. I changed my email address and password, but I'm still worried.
-
If he isnt good at computers he wouldnt be able to pull up your passwords. For the record you can tell IE to piss off and if you knwo where to look you can still find the passwords to any site that anyone has been to.
-
I just don't understand how he was able to pull up my password. But I did change it and my e-mail address that I use to log in.
