:-( I had an old account, Xathg, but I can't get my password resent to me for somereason, so here I am, as a new fella. My other girlfriend dumped me in January, so she's out of the picture. Now, there is this guy I know, who knows this girl, who found my MySpace and added me. I sent her a message ´Hey, what's up?’ or something to that effect. Then we started talking, then over the phone. She was cool, but I think she was really pushing the dating thing, and we hadn't even met! She asked me to go to her prom, figured I'm not in highschool, so I won't have to worry about asking someone else myself, so I said yes.Well, we met up for the first time last night, and I have to say... I don't know what to think. She's somewhat crazy. She was gonna go bash in someone's car-luckily she never caught up with her other friend, else she would've. She used to smoke pot, and drink all the damn time. She drives like a nut, and she had me listenning to sex-rap music all night! BUT! That's not the biggest problem.I think, and please don't beat me for sounding like an ass, but I think that she may be slightly mentally disabled... perhaps it's from the past pot smoking. Or, maybe she is really just that un-bright. (she was shocked when I told her that all objects hit the ground at the same time, no matter how heavy). I thought that was common knowledge. She's 17 in her junior year of highschool, and I'm 18 in my freshman year of college. I'm still cool with going to the prom with her... but... she's way too in to me. (I've heard her wedding plans and marriage plans a few more times than I'd like). How can I tell her no? How do I bring it up? Should I just continue to hang out with her like a friend--she is a cool friend, just not someone I'd date--or should I lay it down now? I mean, if I'm like her friend... she should realize that after like a couple ´dates’ no?Anyway... I'm confussed Thanks,LQ

To be totally honest, I think you need to lay it down flat out asap. What you may possibly have is the basis for a stalker (not in the sinister term, but merely someone who is gonna follow you about relentlessly).I'd say being friends with her may actually be quite good, but definately don't get into a relationship with her.Definately think you need to tell her that you're not interested though. From what you describe she may not click onto that automatically.
