Hey all, I hope someone has some insight into this. For as long as I can remember, I have had these bumps on the left side of my right hand, about an inch below my thumb. I have never thought much about it because I have dry skin on my thighs and upper arms and I always thought this was some form of dry skin. Over the past 6 months I have seen that on both my hands I have started getting more of these bumps and it is annoying. I've tried to look up on google this type of think, but all I can find are articles about red bumps and rashes. These are pretty much the same color as my skin and don't itch or irritate me at all. Basically it just makes my hands look ugly. Anyone know what they should be? I really should see a dermatologist but I wanted to ask here first... My mom recomended I use some st. ives skin cream.. But I dunno... thanks in advance!

Bumps on my hands

Without seeing what these bumps look like, it's going to be impossible for anyone to really even guess what they could be. Like you said, as doctor would be your best bet to ask.

YEAH, I GOT THEM TOO. I FIGURED IT WAS CAUSED BY A VIRUS OF SOME KIND. WHEN I USE AHA, ALPHA HYDROXY LOTION , THEY SEEM TO GO AWAY FOR A SHORT TIME AND THEN RETURN. I DONT PUT THE LOTION ON EVERYDAY, MAYBE IF I DID THEY WOULD GO AWAY.

Are they warts or plantars (sp?) warts?

well i had a lump that sounds pretty much like that- below one of my fingers, kinda small and it could move about a bit i was told it was grisle (sp.?)

I have some bumps on my hands too. Except they aren't just below my fingers, they're gradually, moving up my fingers. I have had them for like 5 years, and i just keep getting more of them. They're rather disgusting, but maybe I'll try some of those lotions that were listed above.

Oddly enough, I have these red bumps as well. They look like they are subdermal (under the skin) but they are about 3mm in diameter and they feel like pin pricks when I close and open my hand or apply pressure to them. They are quite visible but are not warts nor pimples and I only get them when I start to peel (about every 6 months). The bumps aren't very obvious, they actually look more like red spots, but when I hold my had horizontally to look across the skin, I can actually see they are slightly raised. Anyone have any ideas?
