I moved in with a friend and his wife 2 years ago, sense then there my bestfriends.Im 21 single and BROKE. i make decent money, but between car payments, insurance, rent etc etc its just not working anymore (got a new truck about 4 months ago, and insurance is rape on a younger guy esp with V8) falling behind on bills yada yada yada. When i first moved in we were all into the "oh we'll do that and we'll do this etc" needless to say he plays games like 24/7 and shes a gossip queen and talkin on that phone 24/7, so nothings turned out like i was expecting.I talked to my dad today and he said im welcome to move back in with him (still pay rent, but 100 bucks cheaper, and no gas or electric or cable or phone you know what i mean)Even tho nothings what i expected it seems like SUCH a hard decision. Granted i live in a GREAT neighbhorhood right now, my dad dont live in anything like around here. Thats the ONLY downfall i see about this whole situation, and i still having such a hard decision. So it sums to this. Move out, have SOME money again to go out and do stuff, free food (lol)Stay here, have someone to go smoke with, be broke, not do anything, and have to pay for everything. What would anyone else do, i understand its per the individual, but what would you do if you were in my situation. Even if i would move out they only live 15-20 minutes away from where im moving so its not like im "losing" them as my friends..Thanks...

Which alternative would give you the best chance at achieving your goals in life?

If i had goals moving in with pops...I pulled the "take off of school for a year and goto college after that" ... 3 1/2 years later + Full time job to live = not so good But in longrun prob what i just said,, i wont get anywhere here,, just more in debt.

College is not the best option for everyone, and if you can see your present job leading to a good career then you may not want to go to college. But if you do, then cheaper living arrangements that might let you study part-time and work fewer hours would be good.

Adding on to what he said, if the residence at campus isnt to expensive you might consider living there, you wont need as much gas for your truck etc... all of the stuff is much closer and sometimes they include meals.
