Okay, right now i need you to completely disregard my age. I'm trying to write a book that i've had the idea for since i was very young. As i grew older, i started liking anime, the japanese style of cartoons, and now that i'm starting up on really creating my story, i decided to make it into anime form. My plan was to write it out first, then find a way to draw it. So i suppose it's going to be a book first. So i'm working on that, really hard, too. But, as you know, manga turns into anime, and i'd really like to know how to measure how many chapters equal one episode. I'm afraid that i'm writing all these chapters, yet they convert to too little "episodes," and that i'm progressing too fast into the story. My chapters, with spacing between paragraphs (that's the format the website uses) are uslaly 6, 7, or higher pages. Rarely do i get a five page one, and rarely do i get one over 10 pages. or even 9. Manga chapters on the other hand, have about, well for naruto at least, 16 pages for one chapter. However, its first one was 50 pages, which made one episode. This concerns me very much, and i don't know if all i did was a waste or if i should keep doing it. It's my passion to make my story out the best way i want it, but i don't know if it even qualifies. please >< help ! ><

anyone T.T

I think a lot depends on how "tight" your story is. Try acting out your story, speaking all the dialogue. Then multiply by two or three to allow for showing scenes silently and long pauses.
