Ok im not really sure if this is an STD or what. First off I am not really that sexually active, havent had sex for about a year i think it is now, and ive only had three partners and im pretty sure they are safe. Just recently, i noticed a rash on my arm, well it was a little circle rash, then another appeared on my other arm..... well the one on my other arm seems to be gone now, but more have shown up. I have at least 5 on my left arm, two on my right hand, one on my upper left leg, one on the side of my right knee. They itch sometimes, and the top of them is usually dry skin. I just put NIVEA cream on it and 2 of them on my arm are pussing a little. I dont know if thats because i was just scratching at before or not. First off, does this sound like an STD? Does anyone know what it could be? and Should i Be really worried? Im thinking it could be an allergy rash? Believe it or not im allergic to black socks, if i wear them, i get a rash on my feet. but if it is that, why it is mostly on my left arm, rather than my right? please, any help or thoughts would be great...Thanks so much guys :-D-Jon

Rash...?

It's certainly not an STD. An allergy is possible, though I'd guess 'ringworm', which is actually a fungal infection. The pus, however, suggests a bacterial infection, possibly secondary. You're going to have to show a doctor.

You don't think it could be herpes? What kinds of signs should i look for?I checked out ringworm and it really looks like it, but i could be wrong.. not sure.... is Ringworm bad? i dont know too much, can someone brief me on it? Should i be scared if i have it?

It's not herpes - I've never heard of that appearing on an arm.Ringworm isn't caused by a worm at all - it's a skin fungal infection. It's easily treated with antifungal creams - you may have something suitable at home, or you can easily buy them without prescription at any pharmacy. It's nothing to be scared of.I suggest you should get a doctor to look at it in case it's something else that needs a different treatment. Having pus, for example, suggests a bacterial infection. But if it is ringworm and you use an antifungal cream on it, make sure you keep using the cream for at least a week after the rash has gone, as otherwise it will often come back.

Well i started using Benadryl anti-itch cream and it seems to be helping, but when i put the cream on, the little "blisters" or "rash" as you might call it, on my arm go flat and there is more redness that surrounds it, it seems that after a few hours it goes away... is this part of the healing process or does this mean something bad? Heard of anything like this before? Any help is appreciated, thanks

Ineligable is right. You really should see a doctor, preferably a dermatologist. I doubt that it's anything terribly serious, but it is really hard to diagnose a rash from a description. A dermatologist would know at a glance what it is and what to treat it with.

Although I also HIGHLY doubt the OP has Herpes; the disease does stay in the base of the spine when dormant (between outbreaks) and can literally pop up anywhere on the body (9/10 it will appear at the original point of infection)Also, as far as the rash goes that sounds REMOTELY like Syphilis...but unless he had a fairly large sore on his penis (possibly mouth, if one contracted it that way) this is also unlikely.
