I don't know too much information about energy drinks except for the fact that most are loaded with sugar and can make you crash hard after the rush wears off.
Sugar, caffine, creatine, all these things help to boost your energy when you work out.
I agree with helmnsman, dont take sugar, creatine or caffeine its all unnatural, and whatever you do DO NOT use things like red bull, there was a kid at my school who used red bull and was workign out and had a heart attack because his hert rate went way to fast, and once it starts they can't bring it back down.
Well uhm since my school has horrible lunches i usualy just eat a ham cheese sandwhich that they make and as for making my own food I dont have much time in the morning. Also schoo lunch is at 10:30 but by the time i get downstairs it'll be 10:50 or so would a ham and cheese sandwhich count as a full breakfest =/ uh for lunch at 2:30 i goand get pizzaAlso the fruit the cafeteria serves isnt...the best tasting fruit Water i drink 2-3 bottles of aquafina the ones they usualy sell in vending machinesas for energy drinks i guess i wont use them.and take you all for your help
I hate to say it, but you're a moron, and your misinformation is really pissing me off, especially considering you seem to be taking jabs at my post in particular. Glucose (sugar) is largest source of fuel (excluding oxygen) the average human recieves. Bread, grains, pasta, etc, are all made up of long chains of glucose. The reason they are such an excellent energy source is because the body cannot immediately get access to the individual glocuse molecules. First it must break the chains down, this takes time. So you have a long, progressive release of glucose, providing the body with a constant energy source. So why is it unnatural to consume sugar directly before a workout to give your body a sudden boost of energy (a sugar rush) so that you can train harder? The reason sugar is often looked upon as "bad" or fattening, is people who consume a lot of it often don't make use this burst of energy in the short time it is avaliable, and in turn it get stored in the body as fat.
one of the more popular supps ive seen is no xplode, seems to be common among younger people. as for whether or not its useful, safe, or worth its price, i dont know. with energy drinks, id stay away from them pre-workout, caffeine tends to give me cramps in my side and that hampers my workout a lot. just eat the right food and drink water and sleep right, you should have plenty of energy.
So should we or should we not raid the sugarbowl before a workout :P
hey buddy for your info... creatine.. is natural... your body does make it... i cant remember which organ does though.
