Many people infected with syphilis do not have any symptoms for years, yet remain at risk for late complications if they are not treated. Although transmission appears to occur from persons with sores who are in the primary or secondary stage, many of these sores are unrecognized. Thus, most transmission is from persons who are unaware of their infection.Primary StageThe primary stage of syphilis is usually marked by the appearance of a single sore (called a chancre), but there may be multiple sores. The time between infection with syphilis and the start of the first symptom can range from 10 to 90 days (average 21 days). The chancre is usually firm, round, small, and painless. It appears at the spot where syphilis entered the body. The chancre lasts 3 to 6 weeks, and it heals without treatment. However, if adequate treatment is not administered, the infection progresses to the secondary stage.Ok. so read this and i saw "a chancre" fuckkk.Just after making out with a guy who said he had it AFTER we made out.... i didn't know the sores were chancre sores.and someone said the sores were painless. chancre sores for me actually hurt. And i looked today and yesterdday i have 2-3 chancre sores. WHAT DO I DOOO?
-
FUCKK. do i have syphilis?
-
What do you do? Go to a doctor to be tested.

well i'm allergic to the only treatment :[

Syphilis is easy to cure in its early stages. A single intramuscular injection of penicillin, an antibiotic, will cure a person who has had syphilis for less than a year. Additional doses are needed to treat someone who has had syphilis for longer than a year. For people who are allergic to penicillin, other antibiotics are available to treat syphilis. There are no home remedies or over-the-counter drugs that will cure syphilis. Treatment will kill the syphilis bacterium and prevent further damage, but it will not repair damage already donebut other places say there isnt. i'm confused

Honey, Instead of asking for opinions here, you really need to talk to a doctor. It doesn't matter if you are allergic or not. The doctor will know best.

i'm only 15.
How the hell am i supposed to tell my mom to take me out there. Can you get it from making out? because he had it in his mouth? and i touched a sore when i was making out with him?
-
STD's are not a joke. You're going to have to swallow your pride and embarassment and talk to your mom.http://www.cdc.gov/std/syphilis/default.htmhttp://www.cdc.gov/std/syphilis/STDFact-Syphilis.htm

Did the guy actually say he had syphilis? Otherwise I'd wonder if they were in fact cold sores that he has infected you with. Either way, you need to see a doctor, embarrassing or not.
-
No, you're allergic to ONE version of treatment; there are hundreds of antibiotics to kill the syph. This is something you REALLY need to get taken care of in the FIRST STAGE. If it progresses in the second stage, you will be very difficult to treat.Syphilis CAN STILL LEAD TO LITERAL INSANITY AND DEATH, if left untreated. This isn't one of those things you can have and generally continue living with; this one (once again, left untreated) will actually destroy your brain and body.

If you are afraid to tell your mom, i reccomend you go to planned parenthood. Go on the website and look for a center near you. You can get the treatment free and without parental consent. Good luck.

After the sores kept showing up, and i now have 6 of them i realized this is totally not a joke and i NEED to see a doctor. my friends were a great support though. they helped me vent lol. But I didn't want it to get to the second stage and i didn't know how long it was going to be. So I told my mom today.I called her when i was walking home because my mom makes those "FaceS" when she's mad/scared/worried/furious..etc. and i could not say it to her face. she started screaming and yelling at me saying there was no cure. I hate her when she does this because she ALWAYS draws conclusions with out knowing anything. She told me i tell ANYONE i have it i am grounded until the end of forever.Oh what ever.but i'm going to the doctor tonight:[ wish me luck

Good luck!

I got back the doctors about an hour ago.The lady was SOO dumb she's like "these sores just look like bad chancre sores" um DUH those are what the sores are. haha. and then she's like "you can't get it from kissing" and she called the STD specialist and they told her you could although its very very rare. The whole "syphilis" std is rare itself every 6 out of 10,000 people or something get it. The lady said i have a 90% chance of having it. They did a scrape test of the chancre for herpes, and they took a blood test for HIV (to be cautious) and for the syphilis.i should know in 48 hours. And i'm on medication for 14 days since i'm allergic to the pennicilin shot. :]
-
That's a little rude to call her dumb. And syphilis is far from rare. I hope your tests go well.
