because my bikes worn down i always ride in the highest gear, just wondered what muscle groups im working? does it help with toning you bum?thanks

When I ride my bike (most of the time) I'm constantly pedalling and engaging my muscles. It's just like Helms said, he summed it up perfectly. Imagine you're like a car and you need to put on the gas pretty much whenever you're moving, even if just a bit, to maintain your speed. Coasting is only and option down hills and when you're about to slow down. If you're not keeping up to traffic you're not pedalling hard enough (sarcasm )
