I think you're going a bit far suggesting that white flour is bad for you. Yes, it has fewer nutrients than wholegrain flour, but so long as people eat a variety of things and don't just subsist on mainly one, it's not essential that everything contain a balance of nutrients. Eating nothing but white flour is certainly bad for you (and was the famous bread and water diet), but so is eating nothing but apples. But wholegrain flour is better.
I think one can say something similar about sugar, though unrefined sugar is little better than refined sugar. Again, it's the overall balance of the total diet that matters, not of any individual component.
