Should I be worried? I was an idiot and tried shaving my balls with an electric razor. I know, it was a dumb idea... but I have way too much body hair, and I just got frustrated with the terribly lengthy process of cleaning it up, and wanted a faster way... Anyway, the cut was about an inch long, except it was perforated rather than straight across due to the design of the razor. It didn't appear to be deep. I washed with soap and warm water several times immediately after, and the bleeding seems to have stopped. The pain is prettymuch gone, too (I think what I feel now is that imagined pain you get from thinking about it, kind of like how you can feel for another man when you see him get kicked in the testicles). Anyway, should I be worried? Like I said, I cleaned everything within minutes of the injury, and is there anything I should watch out for over the next couple of days, or steps I should take to prevent any trouble?

Shallow cut to scrotum

Thanks... honestly, your response has just lifted a whole load of stress off my shoulders in a matter of seconds. I was seriously worrying about an awkward infection with potentially devastating results (I have a tendency to get very caught up in things like that, especially when it comes to my manhood). So thanks, again breathes a sigh of reliefAnd Mach III certainly does sound better than diced scrotum... lol. On another note, do you think it is safe to swim in the next few days, or would it be advisable to wait until this heals over more?
-
I'd say wait, you never can tell what chlorine (or bacteria in non-pool-type water) can do to you.

Thanks, yea, I was thinking the same... supposed to go to the beach this weekend, but that will be on Sunday... so hopefully 6 days will be enough for this to properly heal.

If the scrotum turns green, you'll know you have a problem from this! Anyway, nah it should be good, from my experience, small nicks and cuts (they usually are pretty small even if they bleed a lot) heals surprisingly fast and well despite the sensitive skin there.Just writing this too to say that there's now an electric shaver solution that works even on the scrotal region. It's the Philips Bodygroom shaver and was specifically designed part for this area, i.e. it's advertised in part for it. It's also intended for other areas with sensitive skin where you risk cutting, like armpits. It is not made for shaving the face. This is their slightly funny product intro for it: http://www.shaveeverywhere.com/

I see it mentions an "optical" extra inch.
