I went to a friend's bbq last Saturday, and a little girl drowned at the bottom of the pool for about 6-7 minutes. They CPR on her and tried to resuscitate her but they never got a pulse. Even when she coughed up alot of water she was still unconscious. So the paramedics came and took her to the hospital and everyone at the bbq was praying for her like crazy and crying, I was one of them. And then she got a pulse again, and they flew her to a better hospital. For a whole week she had been on a respirator and we had been praying and fasting for her. finally she could breathe on her own and her heartbeat was strong. Then we found out she went into a coma and that she was back on the respirator. When the doctors saw she was braindead it was decided to pull the plug on her today around 12. So.. now I'm a little depressed about this, and you know just keep her in your thoughts. She was about 8 yrs old. very cute and vibrant little girl.

hugs tight I'm sorry hon

I'm so sorry. :frowning: The husband of my wife's cousin had something similar - in his case his heart stopped beating because of a heart attack, but again it took too long to get a pulse and most of his brain died. But it's so much worse when it's a little child. :frowning:

thats terrible im sorry

I say: Shit happensTime to move on now...
-
That's cold and rude.

Quote:his incident was shady because everyone was in the pool with him, and no one noticed anything. That's how most of these incidents happen, no one is paying attention to that one person because they're all having fun on their own, and think the person is just holding their breath under water, as many kids do while swimming. Most kids that die in pools due to drowning are at parties with lots of people around.

That's awful my thoughts and prayers are with the family and all those involved.

Welcome to the Real World

Welcome to the Human world, where being a jack ass when a child dies isn't acceptable.

where being a jack ass when a child dies isn't acceptableNot according to my experience...
-
So you're jaded into being an ass?Just a tip, if you're going to say something like that just keep your hands off the keyboard. She doesn't need to see that. This isn't like speaking, you actually have to think about what you say, therefore show a little restraint when dealing with death, sickness, or trauma. You expect people to be nice to you, then be nice to them.
-
I'm very sorry for what happen, honey. My deepest sympathies to you and the little girl's family. And to StillSearching: Haven't you heard of the expression, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"? Not everyone shares the same view of the world like you do.

You expect people to be nice to you, then be nice to them.I wasn't being mean anywhere, just expressing my opinion on the matter. > Haven't you heard of the expression, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"? Yes, I've heard it. And if everyone followed that rule, the world would be a very quiet place.> Not everyone shares the same view of the world like you do.I could say the same about you guys. Not everyone shares the same view of the world as you guys do.

You haven't changed at all have you. And you were mean, InSearch. A young child died and you basically said So the Fuck what. Those kinds of comments are not needed. That's all I'm saying on that, this thread isn't meant to be an argument.
-
> you added me to msn and sent me a picture of you and your family.. in which EVERYONE in the picture is smiling
I don't remember that, but I believe it did happen. And I guarantee you I was not smiling. I'll e-mail you the pic again if you don't believe me.
And what are you trying to say with that anyway?
> A young child died and you basically said So the Fuck what
I'm sorry, but that's how it is. Young kids die every day, that's just how it is. Or do you disagree with that?
