Im not very confident in my voice, which (i feel) makes me talk kinda strange. Whats the best way to gain confidence? I know I use to be very confident, but lately i've just been really down on myself...not really sure why.

do you mean, like in front of people, or standing up for yourself? now, i dont usually suggest, like elaborating or anything (im younger and newer) but you might want to. if you dont, people might not know what youre talking about. anyway, ways to bolster "crowd" confidence, i guess you could call it, is to read things in front of your mirror, or to/in front of your family (these worked for me =]), but standing up for yourself confidence, just takes courage, and the strength to not be afriad of what the other person will say or do. i hope this helps dude. Cheers!!

Let me tell you about voice confidence,
I have always hated my voice
how it sounds, how it projectsbut
I still was student council president
I still am on the debate team
I still speak out more in class than anyone
and unfortunately I have some ulcers from heartburn on my vocal cords...which requires voice restbut that's not the point
the point is that nothing will change your voice or when you use it except you and timeso,
don't worry about it -
And getting practice at public speaking makes you more used to it and it becomes 'normal' instead of a worry.

A roundabout approach would be to bone up on modern topics. When you hear people talking youll be more likely to chip in. When you hear yourself active in conversation, youll bulk up on that confidence youre asking about!
