Interview

Dress nicely, Something like 70% of Interviews is how you dress, and the other 30% is how you present yourself/you attitude and such.
-
okie dokie, i'm going to wear a skirt and a white shirt, heels. with my hair straightened and nice. just dont want to screww it up, waited 3 years for this
-
You'll do fine  Just be calm and collected, everything will turn out the way it should.

As Java said, dress well, though not over-the-top. (Heels wouldn't be appropriate, I think, if they were inappropriate for work at the level above what you are going for.)Show (or feign) confidence about your abilities and enthusiasm about the job, but as you are in the UK make it quiet confidence and quiet enthusiasm, or it will be perceived as insincere. Ask appropriate questions, as this shows active competence. However don't ask about salary until the end, and then only if there's good reason, such as if the job is advertised with a wide salary range or a range of classifications. When you are asked a question about how you might handle something, try to relate it to some experience you already have had, whether in paid work or education or any other part of life. It sounds better, instead of saying "I would . . ." or "I will . . ." to be able to say that you have already met this challenge, and this is how you handled it. Ideally, say briefly (1) what the situation was; (2) what you did; and (3) what the result was (hopefully, good).Sometimes aggressive interviewers try an aggressive question or statement. Sometimes they want to see if you are able to stand up to it and maintain your position without backing down, but without getting upset or angry. I once got "This isn't the best job for you, is it?" I was young and stupid, and agreed, thus ensuring I didn't get the job. The interviewer was looking for polite but firm disagreement.

i only meant small, subtle heels, not stilettos (cant even spell the word!) i'm a quiet person anyway so there are no worries about me coming accross as cocky and loud. thanks for the advice guys, really appreciated
