Hope someone can be of assistance here. I'm 23 and uncircumsised and am not sexually active.I'm having a sensitivity and ache on the ridge or corona of my penis glans. I've had it for about 5 days now and it's beginning to bother me. I've had aches, mild pains in the genital area before that always have gone away after a week or so. My Dad doesn't think it's anything to worry about but it's bothering me due to the location. The glans are not red, not swollen, don't look irritated at all. I can't say I really feel itchy or anything and I can't see anything abnormal for me. I pull back the foreskin and see what I've always had, some fordyce spots, and pearly penile papules. It's not sore when I urinate and I feel nothing too abnormal other than the ache. It's the ridge right along the bottom of the glans and up to the left that feel more extra sensitive and seem to be causing an ache. When I give it a mild squeeze I feel the ache moreso. I've felt smiliarish feelings before but very brief. This has lasted a lot longer than anything similar I've felt.I'm giving it time before I book a doctors appointment but I feel even if I go he won't see anything.Anyone have any ideas or heard of similar things? Should I be worried? I know the body goes through little stages and you can get things like this, but as I said it's the location that makes it disconcerting. Thanks in advance!

Achy & Sensitive Glans

Perhaps a mild masturbation injury? Sometimes the veins in the penis can become irritated and ache.

Thanks for the reply. I can't say I've done anything unusual that could have pulled or strained myself at all. You never know though, sometimes the smallest thing can do it. But would it last a week? What about irritated veins causing the achiness? Would it last a week? It's just a general ache now and then and it's hard to describe. It still feels achey and it's really on the left side of the glans I'm feeling the sensitivity. I've booked the docs for Friday, but I know he'll see nothing and suggest I give it time. I'm going on holiday so don't want anything to get worse - very unlikely it will.On an additional question. Since I began pulling back my foreskin a good 7/8 years ago I've always had a red meatus. Is this normal? It's never hurt or anything and I the only time I've ever had stinging while urinating is due to soap irritation. Is this anything to worry about? Thanks again.

Very late update. Saw the doc and he saw nothing, said it should go away, but couldn't say for certain. After about 2/3 weeks it faded away, and almost went away as quickly as it came. Must have been nerve endings that were causing it or something. Wierd. It's gone now though thankfully!
