I've just recently found out I have genital warts. I know that they are treatable and can dissapear, but have a chance of coming back and all of that. It isn't a bad case or anything, just more like razor bumps in a small area above the penis. But trust me, from research it is warts....But now, atleast I know that much. But I've never been to the clinic before over anything like this a day in my life. I don't really wanna talk to my parents about this at all, so I wish to go to a clinic somewhere out of town (its a small town everybody knows everybody) meet the doctor, get the treatment, pay for it and be done with it. How does all of this work ? Insurance questions and all of that....I don't know how to do any of it...Do i go in, get the check up, doctor prescribe the treatment, i receive it, and i pay for it there? and thats it? somebody get back to me on this!! thanks

After Finding Out...

Call them, make an appointment, when you do that tell them you already know what it is and that your just seeking a second opinion, then ask them these questions when you talk to them on the phone. FOllow up by actually going to the appointment

When you place the call to make the appointment, the doctor's office will undoubtedly ask what insurance you are under. If they don't ask, you ask them if they accept your insurance. Also, not knowing the type of plan you are covered by, you may need a referral from your primary doctor.Be aware that if you are under your parents' insurance, they may receive notification of your visit.
