Erm Guess it doesn't hurt to repeat this.Condoms and birth control will lower and ALMOST nullify your chances of having a child. However, there are other things to take into account.A. no protection is perfect.B. some block against child birth but, not disease.C. while your physically able to have sex of any kind you want at your age. I am physically able to beat the shit out of my brothers who are younger then me. Despite how good it feels. sooner or later its gunna have consequences.

Despite how good it feels. sooner or later its gunna have consequences. Well put. Reminds me of someone who said, "Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. "

You know, my parents taught me abstinence only, said i'd better not have sex, you know what I did? I thought they were full of shit, and I wasn't properly educated on protection so I wound up making a lot of bad choices that I'll never stop regreting, and living with my Uncle and Aunt.
teaching abstinence only, is like begging a teenager to rebel and make bad choices. they should be informed and made knowledgable about how to get contraceptives, use them, and the different types. you can spout abstinence all you want, at the end of the day, kids will be kids.

So according to your logic we shouldn't teach teenagers not to drink and drive cause a lot of them are going to do it anyway. We should just make sure they have good insurance policies.I see...

Simply telling teens not to drink and drive because you say so wouldn't work either. Teens need and deserve proper information.
-
But my point is that you don't stop telling them.
-
Hmmm... In my opinion, it depends on the situation.

Actually stats show that less and less teens are having sex. && do you know most teens? If you honestly want to have sex ask yourself...are you ready to have a baby?? Do you honestly see yourself in the future with this person? Do you feel you are emotionally ready?I hope you said no to all of these. Because you are way to young. Not that im one to talk. Im not much older & i lost my virginity already, but I do regret it now.

You my friend have made me remember a very good point about percents.Percents can be VERY misleading. If you have 100 teens in the year 1990. 90 of them have sex. 10 don't. then 90 percent have had sex.If you have 1000 teens in the year 2000. 880 could have sex.. and thats 88%.You would think less people are having sex in the year 2000 now wouldn't you?Being 19 for another 11 months I'm still a teenager and I feel pretty well qualified to say most teens are pretty quick to jump in bed. IF you want to be nit picky.. then instead of saying most.. I will say "ALOT". I hate thinking about what some people are willing to do. Especially girls (since I don't date guys.. I'm not really paranoid about finding out the guy I like was pluggd at every imagenable oriface).
-
With an offer like that, how could a lady refuse?!
-
Lol what?? About those percentages, are you just inferring that the number of percent is lead by the amount of people being polled? ex: 10 teens total, 9 have sex is 90%; and 100 teens, 75 have sex is 75%; however because the actual 75% is less than 90% it appears fewer teens are procreating? Is that what I'm reading? Or did I miss the boat entirely? If I was correct, I would hope people are wise enough to figure out that had the same 100 been polled, they would've concluded that 90 teens were having sex, instead of the 75, since the percentage in 1990 is static.
-
I am completely confused. Isn't that exactly what percents are?! What's so revealing about that? I am 100% confused with what you are arguing, but that's only 1 person asked.
-
Lol not arguing, but I too was confused...hopefully Nny can come back and clear things up.
-
i think he meant that percents can be misleading in that, some people may think the actual number of people who had sex is lower simply because the percentage is lower, even though the number of people polled is greater, the example being [ if 90 out of 100 teens said they had sex thatd mean 90% had had sex, but if 880 out of 1000 had sex thatd mean 88% ] so even though the percent is lower, thats still alot more people boinkin but some people may not catch that for one reason or another
-
This percantage vs actual numbers comparison is stupid. You poll 100 people and 90 had sex (90%)in one year... you then extrapolate that to 1000 people and you would have 900 having sex (still 90%).. The arguement that 880 is more than 90 even though the percentage dropped 2% is just plain wrong becasue you are comparing apples to oranges.
