I've been having sex with my g/f for roughly six months. We use a condom every time, Trojan-Enz, spermicidal lube and all. My issue is that I would prefer it if we had BC that was more of a sure thing. Condoms have a failure rate, idk the exact figure but its around 1-2% on the outside I think: that's not alot, but i figure if we have sex 100 times that represents one or two times where we might as well not have used anything, and that's an idea I'm really uncomfortable with. She is horrifically opposed to the pill.I really don't mind wearing a condom, i don't feel like i'm missing out on anything except making more of a mess. i just wish that it were a bit...more foolproof, i guess.I'm not sure if any of this is a question or not, I just wanted to get it off of my chest and I don't want to talk to anybody about it in "real life" or anything, so i shall vent to you all. I just realized that it was a serious issue for me when I thought about seeing if we could cut back sex to spread out that 100 times

I'm uncomfortable, but she's not

I think you are worrying too much over nothing.

Actually, I don't see any reason why a woman should 'have' to be on the pill. The pill does not agree with all women. For some, including myself, it causes bad side effects including migraines, weight gain, blood clots etc. AND we all know it is not 100% either.
With that being said, there are other forms of birth control she can use...such as the Nuva ring, diaphragm, IUD etc.

Yeah, she doesn't like the idea of her hormones being messed with, I guess, which i tend to think is pretty stupid...Oh well, I'm not really that WORRIED, per say, just a bit uncomfortable. She's made it very clear that any accidental pregnancy would end in abortion for her, no hesitation. I find it a bit odd that she's more comfortable with that idea than with bc pill, injection, etc.

Using birth control or not? There are some good things with birth control, like a lighter period or, oh yeah, NOT getting pregnant. I mean, why do that to your body (abortion) when there's a way to PREVENT it from happening?

Oh, I'm not offended, the strange ones are what keeps life interesting, haha

shrugs I guess. But I was referring more to how strange her approach to pregnancy is, which shouldn't be taken lightly.
