i dunno if unprotected or protected makes a difference, but i tried having sex during a period just to see what it was like and it wasn't messy at all for me, and nothing got out or anything -- probably because i started 7-8 hours after it began i dunno.i was wondering if sex during the period makes the period shorter? because one time i had unprotected sex during then (i know bad idea, but it was like a moment thing, u know what i mean), and my period was only heavy for about 1 day and lasted about 2 1/2 days.but, another time, i had protected sex, literally right when my period started (well i didn't know it was about to begin like that but), and that period lasted 3 to however many days fine.so i was wondering if anyone else has had shorter periods because of this, and if so, how short and if it does affect the cycle?any help on this would be great, thanks in advance.

I have to agree with sdp. Having unprotected sex is soooooooo risky these days. It's only takes one time. I'm not willing to take a chance with my life. You're old enough to know what the risk is...Be responsible…. Play safe.

Her question is whether protected sex or unprotected sex makes a difference in the length of the period.

sorry i haven't been able to respond 'til today. thanks for the help. i'm not sure why i had this period that was heavy for a day and then light one more day then unless i'm one of the people that it affected as well because of doing it during that time. i know stress can sometimes cause it to be short, but the thing is, i'm sure stress wouldn't make it so a period is this short. i'm not sure about that.i have been eating a lot, too, almost too much one could say, hehe.

The actual “act” of sexual intercourse is the same whether the male is wearing a condom or not. With that being saidI have never heard of the length of a woman’s menstrual cycle changing because of having sex during her period.Oh and Pete…. I’m sorry to have misunderstood the original posting. I’ll make a point to read future posting slowly to ensure that I understand it correctly. Thanks for pointing it out.
