I am almost positive you can NOT get cancer from dying your hair.

either go to a pro hair person or get one of the hair coloring boxes at a store and follow the directions.i have never heard of anyone getting cancer by coloring their hair. but i have heard that if u color it too much or the wrong way (or somthing) it can mess up ur hair 's texture or something. i'd go to a pro (hahaha i do) but the trick is to have it look natural! my brother says i'm more into my hair than a chick...

The cheapest dyes to make are the azo dyes. Some azo dyes can cause cancer when given internally to laboratory mice or rats in sizable amounts, which has led to some scares. However no human cancers have been associated with the use of allowed hair dyes.Henna is an naphthoquinone dye and it also usually considered safe, though its electrophilicity, which causes it to react with keratin, makes me wonder what it would do to DNA if it got to it. The general belief that only artificial chemicals are carcinogenic is a myth.Henna-dyed hair is probably a much brighter and redder shade than you are looking for.
