Well I finally went to see what all the fuss is about, so I trimmed my pubic hair with some scissors, however I'm having some discomfort, the ends of the hairs are kind of prickly, and it causes itchyness, is there anything I can do to stop/prevent this in the future?

Pubic hair trim
-
In the future... don't trim or shave.
-
Well, yeah thats obvious, but any other advice? I know that there are people who trim and have no problems so.
-
Alot depends on the texture of your hair (thin/thick) and curlyness. I doubt there's much you can do about it.
-
so should i jsut completely shave it then?
-
if you do then you gotta keep it shaved.
-
Not a good idea..... shaving it will probably make it worse. What I would recommend doing is gettin an electric razor that you can select your 'trim' on.I know they have ones which allow you to select just how short you want your hair.Find a lengh that you can trim at but, keep it from being uncomfortable.
-
if you keep shaving you'll get used to it. The only thing I shave it the hairs the grow on my shaft. It looks alot better so its worth it. It probably took a couple months before it stopped itching.
-
Daily trimming of the pubes and shaving the shaft and nut bag are just part of the morning routine. It’s not hard to do.Call it personal hygiene.
-
For me it was only uncomfortable (or even really noticeable feeling) the first time or two that i trimmed. You'll get used to it.
-
I've been shaving mine once a week for about 6 years now. One thing to be mindful of is what cream, gel, or whatever you shave with since just like any other area where you shave the skin can get irritated.
-
It really is more hygenic >.<Hair retains moisture. Bacteria grows in dark, warm, moist places.
-
It's all about experimenting and finding what works best. let it grow back and try again leaving a little more untill you find the best way to do it. thats what i had to do.
-
use conditionare (spelling?) and it will easy it up a whole lot. i also find an 1/8 - 1/4 inch is pretty good length cause its short but not enough to itch or prickle
-
what i do is get a comb ... and cut the hair comeing threw the comb (like the hairdresser does) it makes it easyer IMO , and you get a gd lenth that isnt itchy ( for me anyway )tom x
-
Yeah. Shaving is good, well atleast trimming is. It's better than just letting it grow everywhere. But the first few times i shaved "everything" I got like razor burn, and it hurt like hell. So now i just trim, dont shave.
-
Yeah i trim, but dont shave. I use a norelco for my face, so I guess if I used it down there I wouldnt get razor burn, but itd probably itch after a few days. My face does that sometimes.
