Is it legal in Michigan for a 14 year old girl to be dating a 18 year old guy with parent consent?

18 year old guy dating a 14 year old girl...
-
well the sexual age of consent is 16 which is probably too low as it is, so legally id think if the 18 year old did anything with the 14 year old sexually he could be in deep shit as he should be, 18 year olds should not be dating 14 year olds hell 16 can be a stretch..
-
Dating probably OK.. SEX.. I doubt that would be legal.
-
......14 and 18 is a pretty big gap.
-
Uh, so after two weeks of avoiding you, you guys are acutally dating? Or what the heck ever happened here?
Anyway, based on that other thread your posted, I'd STILL worry about dating this guy. Yeah, it's okay (sex is out of the question) but this guy didn't want to talk to you for two weeks and you've been "together" a month. That means he's been around you two weeks and, poof, he's gone.
Yeah, this smells like trouble.

No 14 year old girl should be dating an 18 year old man, period.
-
How about 20 and 24? 18 and 22? 52 and 56? You're probably just talking about maturity level and cognisance, however the numerical gap isn't really all that bad.
-
Eh. Aside from everything else thats already been said. Its probably detrimental to you to date someone that much older. You should be out having fun with friends and such. Its probably not really healthy mentally to date someone that much older =/

my brother went out with someone who was 15 at the time and he was 19 i believe. they broke up after a while. she was a tool. VERY childish and clingy, and waay too flirty with his friends. she was in my grade and very annoying. so i think the maturity level is very different between 14 and 18.

She was 15, what did you and your brother expect? Come on honey, your brother should've known better.Welcome back, by the way, lol.

all of my friends had a crush on my older brothers but unlucky for them they both treated them like they were their little sisters. My brothers are into girls their age if not older.... for the wrong reasons though.

Reminds me of a girl at my school. She was an annoying little bitch. I dunno how old she was. But, it was pretty sad to hear just how nasty she was.Sitting in class you could hear her talk about "see threw panties" and their boobs and such in class.. Its kinda disgusting when you realise these are all 15 or 16 year old girls (freshmen) dating seninors..When guys date girls in those situations its just sorta.. obvious.. why who is taking who to prom. Even if there was no sex involved there would still be the issue of the guy lacking dating experience. By dating younger people who are considerable easier to "catch" he ultimately deprives the younger of real dating experience among other things =/

i warned him about her but meh. its in the past now. she was weird anyways not just during their "relationship"

An 18 year old dating a 14 year old is just a senior dating a freshman, I know of tons of guys who do it and honestly I don't see much wrong with it. To me if the subjects are old enough to go to school together and interact on a social level then it's only a matter of time before something happens.

Doesn't matter what school level they are in, it's the age. I remember very clearly when I was a freshman in high school, I sat next to a senior. He kept on touching my leg when I wore shorts and it was really creepy. Thankfully, my teacher saw this and told his ass off.If he, an 18-year-old MAN, felt he could touch me like that, I can only imagine what more he would have wanted if he and I were alone someplace.

That guy was a creep, not all 18 year olds are creeps. If a senior and a freshman develop some kind of genuine relationship, then whats the problem? At any other stage in their life a 4 year gap would be considered nothing. If 14 year olds are to young to make such decisions then they shouldn't even be in the same building as 18 year olds.

Plus, in this case, if you read the OP's past post about her boyfriend, this sounds like a bad idea. I'm 21 and he's 26, meaning we are adults. But an adult in a relationship with a CHILD, how's that not wrong? Not to be invovle in relationships.

I'm just saying that if you put a bunch of kids in a building stuffs going to happen regardless of the age, however It's rare that you will ever see anybody over 18 in a high school. I think that if your 19 or older, then yes your to old.
