How old are you?

"I'll call you" is one of the Great Lies. I think it's quite reasonable to call back yourself.
To give yourself the best chance at interviews, remember they are looking for someone who shows confidence he can do the job. Ask (sensible) questions. Give examples from your own experience. Even though you've never done the job before and both you and the interviewer know it, you want to have the quiet confidence you would have if the job you are going for were one you already knew well and did well.

Dress reasonably nice, khakis and a polo or button down shirt would be fine.Be polite (but not flirtatious) to everyone, because even though they aren't giving you the interview, they have quite a bit of input.Don't talk badly about your previous job, even if you HATED it.If they ask you, "What kind of people do you hate working with?" Never say something like, people who don't listen to me, people who try to tell me what to do, etc. Say something like, people who don't finish their work, or people who don't do their work to the best of their abilities. It is okay to be nervous, no one is going to be upset by that.Remember your manners!

Do you know anyone who does the hiring and firing for a company? Even if it is just the manager at taco bell?
IF you do, I would suggest working with them, and doing mock interviews. Heck, even an adult who is handy could be the interviewer for you, and you could practice before you go to a real interview, it would help you keep from being so nervous.

Also, just to throw this in there; try to apply for jobs with very small companies; they tend to be less Gestapho-like during the interview process.Story of my application for best-buy (the Gestapho lives strong!)I recently applied for a job to fill in a couple extra hours at Best-Buy; they have this 45 minute online 'interview'..then you have to go to a FIRST stage interview, then a second stage one lol; just to get paid $8/h. Hell, when I applied to work as a correctional officer, and as a customs officer, they asked me less questions (Both of those jobs give you police-officer powers and $50,000 a year, lol) Just trying to make a comparison, lol.
