You are worried and rightfully so. Although you only need one testicle to be fertile having two is like a backup system. What concerns me is where you other testicle is? It is quite posible that it is undescended meaning that it is trapped in your body. Normally the doctor would spot this at a very early age and pop it out manually if possible otherwise surgically. The problem is that the testicle does not like to be in a hot area which is why it is in the scrotum where it can regulate the temperature. Also I believe the chances of a testicle in this condition has a much higher chance of becoming cancerous. SO, listen to my words and see your doctor about this.

my friend had the same problem,go see your doctor.the doctor rectified his problem.

Well, also consider that the problem could be that he was just born with only one, like a birth defect. But could a doctor surgically put one in, like in a sex change?

In reply to: But could a doctor surgically put one in, like in a sex change? Sure. Then one testicle would produce sperm with one set of chromosomes and the other with a different set. Imagine what happens when they try to do a paternity test.

To put in a donated testicle would mean going on anti-rejection drugs, which play havoc with your immune system. Since you only need one testicle to produce enough sperm to have babies, no doctor would do that. Instead, they put in (if you ask for it) a prosthetic dummy testicle, so it looks and feels normal. The real problem, as sdp said, is if the other testicle is still in the body cavity. If so, it must be removed or it can become cancerous. Baby89, you really, really need to consult a doctor about that.

They don't put in testicles or ovaries when you have a sex change.
