http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070918/ap_on_fe_st/odd_suing_god"The defendant in a state senator's lawsuit is accused of causing untold death and horror and threatening to cause more still. He can be sued in Douglas County, the legislator claims, because He's everywhere."

Nebraska state senator sues God
-
Correction--he's not a senator of our country. He's a Nebraska state senator, meaning he represents a district in Nebraska, not the whole state.
-
That guy should not even be a senator. He needs to be put away in a mental institution. Why? Did you even read the article?"Angered by another lawsuit he considers frivolous, Chambers says he's trying to make the point that anybody can file a lawsuit against anybody."
-
Not going to argue about what?
-
Whatever.
-
This guy is a yahoo. He's part of the problem, not the solution.First off, if he's trying to make the point that Bowen's lawsuit is frivolous, he is way wrong. He may not agree with her, but I think she has a valid case.Secondly, protesting what he considers to be a frivolous lawsuit by filing what he admits is another frivolous lawsuit, costing more time and money that would best be spent elsewhere, is - I think - irresponsible.Thirdly, and his most crucial mistake, God is not a resident of Nebraska. We all know He's a Hoosier.
-
OK, seriously, did you read the article?
-
But what are the "bad issues" that you speak of?
-
Don't do that.Just copy and paste the reasons I gave. They're good ones. And free.
-
I don't know why you bothered entering it, your comments make it seem like you just read the title and thought that the guy was simply attacking God.
The guy's point is that these days anyone can sue anyone else over the most ridiculous matters, and its a fair point.
-
calm down guys it's not that serious lol dang. the wolves are out tonight AWOOOOOOOOOOOO!can I sue Buddha? It's a personal reason... I'm quite embarressed.
-
The guy's point is that these days anyone can sue anyone else over the most ridiculous matters, and its a fair point. This hits the spot.I heard about this story yesterday on the radio on my way to work... and I completely agree with this guy. I don't like how anyone can and usually will sue anyone for the smallest things these days. Whatever happened to settling things amongst each other and in a peaceful way?Anyway, I didn't read the article, but on the radio they said he was sueing God for instigating terrorism (or something like that) and causing massive damage to humanity in the form of hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.I thought it was kinda funny.
-
Oh shush Abi, I very rarely get worked up and this definitely wasn't one of those times.
-
I was kidding if you didn't notice my sad wolf impression lol
-
So was I, obviously!
-
your sarcasm stinks! you should just stick to being shmexi.
-
I find that comment sexist and offensive!
-
>Thirdly, and his most crucial mistake, God is not a resident of Nebraska. We all know He's a Hoosier.
Well, whatever deity lives in Nebraska, it sure as hell has nothing to do with Hinduism... Beef, much?
-
well thanks guys. You just did my english homework for the next week.I honestly see both sides of this... on one hand frivilous lawsuits are annoying. On the other where was this guy when people were sueing mcdonalds for making people fat? I can actually see why the girl has a valid case in her law suit.. so it seems he is barking up the wrong tree.
