Im 14 and i dont wax, shave or do anything to my legs. They have some hair on then and i really want to do something soo that they r a little bit lighter and aren't as visible. Mum wont let me do anything to them cause she says that they will just grow back and i will have to continue shaving all the time and stuff. Is there a way to either get rid of the hair or make it lighter without using a chemical creme, waxing strips or shaving?

LEGS!!!

You could cut off your legs, that should solve the problem.
Apart from that, I'm not sure if there is anything else you can do apart from the usual stuff.

ive heard of a lemon juice thing. I dont really know how it works thoughand im not gnna cut of my legs...they r my prized possession (besides the hair)

You can get laser hair removal, but that's going to be hella expensive, especially since you're just 14. I also heard of bleaching, but that just crazy. So, I vote for you cutting off your legs or just wait until you're ready to shave or wax.

Shaving is really not a big deal. Parents just use "shaving all the time" as an excuse to stop their kids from growing up (don't slam me for that little comment, thanks). And you can stop shaving at ANY point in time.

i thought this all over and now finally mum said that i can do whateva i want to my legs however now i want to know what is the best way to go about this! Wax? Shave? or use one of them hair removal creams?
-
Waxing's a bitch.Shaving's a pain.Hair removal creams suck ass.Like my mom always tells me, "Pain is the price for beauty." Which way you go is up to you, but they all have their faults. But seriously, don't waste your money on hair removal creams, lol.

my friend'smum uses those hair removal creams and they work
but then mum told me that the chemicals in them actually burn the hairs and that they can give u a really bad reaction if ur allergic
-
Lol, then I guess it's just my personal bad experience. But your mom is right. The chemicals in that stuff can burn your skin or give you some sort of allergic reaction or rash. That's why it says on the box to test a small area on your leg to see if anything happens to your skin.

does waxing hurt?
-
Well you know when you pull 1 strand of hair out of ur head and it hurts alot, i imagine its sorta like that except its a thousand hairs and not one. Im not sure though ive never waxed.
-
waxing hurts yes. (i self waxed my bikini line befre...)
i shave every day. ive tried waxing but the stuff i had, called for your leg hair to be long before i wax it. i never let any leg hair grow out on me. so it never worked right.
-
Different areas of your body hurt more if you wax them... Like, whenever I wax my eyebrows, inbetween barely hurts, but the outward corners REALLY hurts. So the only parts of my legs that I wax are my knees, because they really don't hurt that much, and they are annoying to shave.

shaving is cheap & easy.It sucks cause you have to keep up with it alot, but its still most deff. the most easy.Just make sure to get a good razor. Dont try going too el cheapo & buying those BIC shits.

Shaving causes the hair to grow back thicker and darker. (For some people. Some people don't have hair that do that)Waxing causes it to grow back like they originally used to be.So what i like to do, is i alternate.I'll shave, after a few days, wax, after a few weeks, shave...etc.works well. And the creams don't work that well.

Shaving does NOT cause the hair to grow back thicker and darker. That's a myth that can be explained here:Myth: Shaving hair causes it to grow back faster, darker and coarser. Reality: Shaving does not cause hair to grow back faster, darker or coarser. “Shaving is just a method of cutting the hair at the skin surface and has no effect on the part of the hair shaft below the skin surface, which is where growth and pigmentation occur,” says Hoskyn. “Although the hair may seem to grow faster after shaving, this is just an illusion: a small amount of growth on a clean-shaven face is much more noticeable than a small amount of growth on a bearded face. Likewise, the blunt, stubbly ends of new growth can give the illusion of darker, coarser hair.” UAMS Medical Myths
