How much harm does drinking a beer a day have on the system? If you were to drink moderately, even though drinking is awful for you, what would be considered a moderate amount in a week?I'm just wondering, I don't actually drink beer unless I'm at a party, I've just never really looked into the harmful effects of drinking as I've never seen it as a big part of my life.

A beer a day

It depends on age, gender and weight, but a little bit of alcohol is no great disaster. Indeed, it slightly lowers the risk of cholesterol build-ups in the arteries. For an average male two small drinks a day is often considered the optimum. It is heavy drinking that has seriously bad effects.

well a guideline daily amount is around three units i beleive (i dont know if its true but its one of those things thays stuck in my head) and a bottle of beer is about 2-3 units i beleive, it might be pints, but i dunno

I'm sure three pints a day would be considered more than optimal.
Beer bottles vary in size around the world, so it's not a reliable guide.

You can drink beer when Percocet is in your system, but like any alcohol / painkiller interactions, alcohol will tend to increase the depressant side effects of the drug, so depending on how tolerant you are to the drug and how much the side effects affect you (say that ten times real fast), you need to be very careful about how much alcohol you drink.
Drinking a day after will certainly give you a better margin as the drug pretty much is out of your system within 24-48 hours, depending of course on how much you take and what the dose is. For someone like me, it can stay in the body for quite some time.
