I read that all things timed right (ovulation days), the chance to get pregnant is about 30%, given everything else that needs to happen with the sperm/egg. I also read that 40% of the time you can lose the pregnancy (way before the fetal phase) and you probably wouldn't even know it. Do these sound right to you?Having read/heard about all the people scared of getting pregnant after not using a condom, I thought the chances would be much higher than 30%. We're hoping for better chances now that we're starting to try. I'm sure 30% sounds high to those of you not wanting one after having unprotected sex.

Think about all the times people get "lucky" and don't get pregnant compared to the times the "oopsies" DO happen. Lots of folks sweatin' it out for a while, and only occassionally a pregnancy occurs.Yeah, pregnancy is something that happens when ALL the requirements come together right. However, the chances are pretty good, look at all the people there are.Good luck in your trying to get pregnant!

Sounds right. A girl can only become pregnant 3 days out of the month. Spread out, mind you, so you never really know...

Sexpert thats incorrect.Generally on the half point through a girls menstrual cycle, but it dpends on regualrity, ovulation occurs when it occurs it goes like this: 5% 50% 100% 50% 5%12th day 13th day ovulation 15th day 17th daythis is without forms of birth control.

however, it depends on the girl, because some girls have more trouble then others.

But from what I've read, my little spermies could live inside her for at least a couple of days and maybe get her pregnant if she ovulates a day or two AFTER you've had sex. So that makes the "dangerous" days a much longer time.

You are correct. If the sperm cell makes it past a female's cervix it can lie in wait for an egg and cause pregnancy for up to 5 days.
