I recently posted a double bulletin, talking about condoms and some other junk unrelated to this topic. On there, I posted I was 5 inches long, and 3 circumfrence. That was completely wrong. I AM 5 inches long, but my girth is a little larger than 4 inches. So NOW that I have the correct measurements, do I still need to look into buying slim fitted condoms? Or Am I ok with a regular small?

Condoms?
-
Regular, I think. But to know what you're looking for, you need to find a condom that fits nice and snug around the base of your penis. Length doesn't matter.Look around and see what fits best. Small FYI, go to a sexual health clinic and get some free condoms so you can try them out. Practice makes perfect; you want to make sure you put one on correctly!
-
Any condom that says small would actually be slim, because they don't vary much in length - they make them long enough that few people need to unroll them fully.
I think you should buy a few and try them on. It's strongly recommended anyway that you try them on by yourself and get comfortable with them, so they're not a fiddly distraction when you want to stay on-task.

Which brand should I be looking at? I know of some, but is there any perticular brand that is favorited? I'm not looking for crazy, purple, ribbed ones, just regular. I've heard of two-ply or something, would that be something I should look for as well?
-
My boyfriend and I use either Trojans or Lifestyles. Durplex sucks, in my opinion.Just stick to regular condoms. All those fancy ones you see are a load of crap and a waste of money.
-
The most important thing is to check the use-by date. You don't want to buy old stock.
-
I just got on the trojan condoms website, and the fits are regular, large and extra large. Should I look at a different brand, or would the regular fit?
-
Regular. All brands have the same measurement scale.
-
Ok, to settle this completely, If I wanted to buy a condom for myself, I would buy a regular trojan-enz lubricated condom. (right?)
-
Lol, I'm glad you're taking this seriously and responsibly. Yes, you are correct. But like I suggested earlier, see if you can stop by a sexual health clinic (and at your school's health office, if they are available) and get some free condoms. That way, you can practice without worrying so much on spending too much money. The ones I've gotten from clinics are Lifestyles, and they've been reliable. We've also tried Trojans and they were great also.Practice, practice, practice before the real time comes!

I don't know where a clinic you're mentioning is, or even if my town has one. Trojan has a feature that you can receieve a free sample and they'll mail it to you descreetly. But you have to be 18. Should I lie? I would be much more comfortable lying than going to a clinic and asking for some.

They should be in every city and town (there's two down my street). The most known clinic would be Planned Parenthood. Like I said, see if there's one in your neighborhood but you don't HAVE to do it. It's just an easy way to get a bag full of free condoms. Originally Posted By: Emo_BoyShould I lie? You're doing the right thing and sex is natural.I think it would also be easier to go and buy some, instead of waiting for them in the mail, lol.

Quote:Should I lie?Don't ask for permission, just do it. But will the presence of even an unmarked package in the mail addressed to you give rise to any problems for you?
-
If I were to get an unmarked package in the mail, my parents wouldn't open it, and chances are I'd check the mail before they would. Although, my mother would probably ask me what it was. But she's been completely understanding and happy with my curiosity, seriousness, and maturity about sex and protection. I've talked about sex with her many times, and she is 100% OK with it, as long as I'm protected. she's pretty freaking awesome. She has told me she would perchase condoms for me, when the time came, but I want to do this on my own.

I wish i had your mom. my mom found out i've done something sexual and flipped out calling the girl a slut and that i had bad taste and i needed a new girlfriend. i just think she's a retard when it comes to sex. and driving for that matter.
on the topic of condoms, I never really looked into buying condoms. i had some that i stole from 20 year old sister at the time when i broke my virginity. I stole a couple from my friend once as a joke but i had to actually use them. he made a funny saying how theyd expire before i used them which was 2012. thankfully that's false. although i'd of loved to wait a little longer. I'm going to have to buy condoms now if i plan on becoming sexually active with my girlfriend. my length is about 7" and my girth is about 5". would i be fine with the regular fit condoms too?
-
Why don't you just go into a shop and buy a pack of regulars and see how they suit you?
-
You sound like your around the same size as me, im about 5.5 i believe and our girth is probably the same, i found the "sung fits" to work alot better than the "reg fits". The regular fits were a little loose on me.
-
Decius, with your girth regular should be fine.
-
Trojen Condoms dont seem to have snug fits, or at least their website doesn't advertise them. What brand could I find that does and is trustworthy?
-
Another brand is Lifestyles. We use them and they've been reliable.
