Liking a guy that you know is straight.Im in this kids class, actually 2 classes, Gym, and Algebra. Ok, so he likes to cheat off of me(I dont know why, I suck at math) and of course I let him, simply because hes amazing like that. I know, Im a bad person for not letting him figure it out on his own, but I did try to teach him stuff before, and he still didnt get it, whatever. Ok I got a lil off topic there. Ok, my problem is that I like the guy. And I cant shake it. What would be your advice? Is there something wrong with falling for a straight guy? What if I shake the feeling and he turns out to be a homo, that would be devastating. Im getting ahead of myself... Woosa woosa...

I would like to be able to talk with him, I cant, if I am attracted to someone I generally am not able to talk to them without sounding like an ass.He is straight he told me himself...actually the moment he found out I was gay he said, "As long as you dont try nothin on me, Im straight." of course that straight could have meant 2 things... Like, hes cool with it, or hes straight. I dont know.

I have lots of straight friends. Haha, actually, hardly any of my friends arent straight, I know that we can tease each other when we want without the other getting offended. I assumed the same thing, that he is straight and hes ok with being friends. What did you mean "true out-and-out gayness"?

The gay friend I was referring to, you would not know that he's gay upon first meeting him, but his partner, oh yeah, you can totally tell - it's like he's always "advertising" and always "on the hunt" or something. Oh, I knwo what you're talking about, nobody can tell that Im gay, because I dont act all you know, "gay". Stereotypes.

While I was an RA in college, I had a student who fell in love with his room mate, who was straight. This guy would say, "Stephen is so hot," and I would just chuckle. He told a lot of people in our gay/straight alliance club and we all were worried that he would try something. I was more worried because I did not want to deal with a gay bashing during my last year at school. Anyway, I think the guy moved out of the room and the other guy never revealed he was in love with him. But, from talking to other people, the straight kid may have known this guy was, as other people put it, "creepy." If I were you, I would not bring this up to him. Straight guys your age generally don't react well when they find out another guy is sexually attracted to them. Now, if he expressed interest in you, then it should be okay. But if he doesn't, then I would not even go down that route.

Exactly what Im afraid of.So, just dont say anything to anyone about this?I can handle that, I think.

I agree with Classy on this.Unrequited love does suck.

Frankly, if you tell the kid you like him in a sexual way, and he's straight... You're going to lose him as a friend even.

Not necessarily...
-
Hrm...So I was talking to my friend, and she said that Abel knows that I like him, and she said that nobody told him, so he must suspect it?
I dont know, but yesterday he was staring at me, like, all period, and he lifted his shirt up at me, either intentional or not...He has a great body as well as a nice persona, haha.
But the thing is, he's straight...Or that's what he told me, could he just be 'exploring his sexuality'? -
Perhaps he noticed you staring at him, drooling. Anyway, it sounds like he's not weirded out. If he lifted up his shirt intentionally it might be a come-on, but it could have been accidental. Take it in slow stages.

Or could've been a tease. "he likes me, he's watching...let's give him a show". Sounds mean, but meh, girls do it all the time
-
Yes, very true.
-
Agh, I hate people like that. Though I've personally never met any. Only created (referring to a writing piece). But I imagine I'm bound to meet one of them in the next couple of years I have in high school.
-
Yeah...It sucks how people do that.- And watch what Im typing.Im not alone in the room. Haha. They're girls so, dont get any ideas.
-
I bet they're giggling, and trying to seduce you.

Sorry, I hope it was a 'come-on' I dont know though. One of his friends said he was a homophobe. That put me down. If it was a tease, I am gonna pounce! Haha!
-
Lol. Go get 'em, tiger!
-
No, no, no, don't go get 'em. I disagree. I think maybe it was a joke, the guys in my school pretend to be gay with each other all the time, as like a spoof sort of, not to make fun of it or anything. They also pretend to be girls, old men, transvestites, and flashers, along with a lot of other things.
