For over 1 week I have been having problems now.It started one day when I got pain after breakfast in the morning. My stomach ached and I felt like crapping but nothing came out!I had to press like a madman to get something out. Then 3 days later the same thing happened. I had to press like a maniac and what came out was very little and it was totally hard!!I really thought I wouldn't even be able to get it out.On the same day I tried 2 or 3 other times to at least press something out but what came out where only small, round, totally dry and hard "balls". Then I bought some micro enemas and with their help I was at least able to get the stuff out which was directly above the exit and which I couldnt get out by pressing. Then I went to a doc and described my problems to him. I said that my assumption is that this ultra dry poo is a result of me taking flax seeds the days before. I thought they are healthy and mixed them with joghurt but didnt drink much water to it.The doctor gave me some of the stuff you drink before a coloscopy to clean your bowels and he said that this should work and flush everything out. This was last Wednesday. I drank the stuff and about 2 hours later it started to work but what came out was mostly water and not much hard stuff. Actually I had expected more hard stuff because I had been eating normal the days before.Anyway, since last Wednesday I had a few bowel movements and I thought that it's ok again but today I once again had pretty hard crap and it also did not come out as a whole but only in pieces and there was again stuff at the end which I could not get out!!!I had to use a micro enema again to get this stuff out. This is starting to worry me now. I never had such problems before. I didn't have hard crap and I also didn't have to press and I also didn't have problems with not getting it all out.I ask myself what could cause this. I didn't change my diet. What shall I do now? What if the next bowel movements will be the same? I cannot rely on micro enemas to help me get it all out this is crazy.

Problems with getting it all out

It sounds like not enough fibre in your diet. You can buy fibre supplements, but it's better and cheaper just to make sure you eat plenty of vegetables and whole fruit.
I'm sure it wasn't the flaxseeds.
-
But I did not change my diet and I never had this!I eat stuff which has fiber, like lentils or green vegetables.I never had this. Today I once again had to press to get it out and I also felt that it's not even everything. There is still stuff which I didn't get out.Usually when I noticed that I have to crap then it all came out without force and now I notice that there is stuff but at the same time I have to press to get it out and it only comes out partially. This cannot be normal. This is really starting to scare me. It all started 11 days ago where my stomach started to ache in the morning and this was the first time I got the ultra dry crap. What if the "motor" got disturbed through the flax seed or whatever the reason is and now it doesn't start running again? Is it possible that the digestion can be thrown out of balance and it doesn't recover?

The action is done by the peristaltic action of the bowel wall.Sometimes it can feel like there is more in there when there isn't.Is there any pain in the abdominal region? Does it feel tender when pressed?
-
There is no pain. 1 week ago the doc also examined the stomach and pressed around with his hands. The problem is that even though I am having bowel movements now on a more regular basis the shit is totally hard! Today I again needed a micro enema cause I could not get it out!!!!It's like small rocks which you simply cannot get out. I am really worried about my rectum cause this isnt healthy. The stuff is only a few inches away from the exit and at the same time you cannot press it out and when you on the other hand try to keep it in then it's also painful. If I had examination gloves I think I would have tried to just pull the stuff out but I have none. I have no clue what causes this. Do you think that toast bread could cause this? I have been eating toasts every now and then could they cause this? But I have already eaten toasts before and never had such problems.
-
I can't see toast doing anything like that.I don't have any ideas. It looks like the doctor has checked for bowel obstruction and eliminated that possibility.

What do I do if this doesnt end?
I am tired of this hard crap and it also isn't healthy when I have to press like an idiot. :frowning:
I am afraid if this doesn't soon change then I will not get around a coloscopy. :frowning: -
It sounds like you might not be drinking enough water. Your body might be dehydrated and there's not enough moisture to make to poop softer after your body absorbs it all. I may not be right, but I know when I haven't been drinking enough water, my poop feels dry and hard coming out.
