Hoenstly, I always thought utah was a shit hole, my trip east taught me better.now I hate utah for the people in it and I hate he midwest for its moist heat and stupid people. it was a total culture shock to me to go back there. I was there for 2 weeks, driving a friend back to get her kids from her x husband and bring them to utah to stay. While Ill admit to some pretty cool caves I explored while there thats it The rivers are all brown, they seem to disaprove of you pissing off the rails on river boat gambling halls, the rednecks, I did like steak and shake, but it was like going back in time, or forward in time in mexico.Iv traveled all over mexico, alone and with people and love it, there are bockwards places with little to no plumbing and people in cardboard boxes and leantos by the river, the midwest reminds me of what mexico will become. its like whats between a third world country and the US, yeah, the midwest is the buffer zone!

School Uniforms: Yes or No?

and thansk for the well wishes for my son, we dont knwo what it is yet, we are waiting to hear when we can get him into a specialist. the doc he sw seemed pretty posative its not cancer, but was concerned about it and didnt rule it out. but seems to think its another lesser problem that still needs to be dealt with. Thats why the specialist has to be seen before we can make any plan of action, make certain tis nto cancer or rule out the other possabilities or decide ti is cnacer and know what way to go from there. The original doc was jsut a PA, it was jsut a sports physical for high school ball so we didnt seek out anyone in particular jsut who would do it on a short term notice and nto charge me a fortune. now thats all changed and Im still in shock that he never said a fucking word. for a year or so now he has had one nut getting huge, no shit, the size of a grapefruit, firm but nto hard, and extends into his abdomen, but doenst hurt or feel discomfort at all from it.I cant belive he never said a fucking word about it, and I cant belive id never noticed it beofre now, but then even knowing now I look and its nto visibel through the baggy pants he wears, even the shorts he plays ball in are baggy and loose and you cnat see that theres a problem. Im worried now, but also pissed that he let it go like this and never said a fucking word about it, the sooner shit like this is diagnosed and dealt with the better off you are. his excuse? hes embarrassed.holy fuck oh dear. at any rate, its being dealth with now, and even if its cancer, and thats the worst thing it could be, its nearly 100% curable if its dealt with within 5 years and we are under that limit, we think. odds say everything will be just grand adn fine, so prepare for te worst...hope for the best, even the best still requires surgery. After the specalist adn the test results come back in Ill make a detailed post, just incase it helps any other dumb little asshole that would see their nut swell like a balloon and not say anything about it to their parents.

Hey dude, sorry to hear about your son. I understand how you feel. Maybe it's this.. Hydrocele

that was the entire population of missouri, texas, oklahoma, and arkansas and the small sampling of people i met in east st lois from illinois, I began metting fucking morons that trip as soon as I stepped form my door at home, but i met more and more of them as Imoved east. having been further east before I realize that someplace east of the midwest the intelligence levels start coming back up. not for all people, but generally speaking the populations intelligence grows as you move east or west of the whole area, and yes in kansas city kansas I also met moronic inbred assholes same as I did in lebanon missouri, joplin missouri and kansas city missouri.
-
Through the reason for his inaction he has demonstrated the purpose of this place. It's to bad more kids don't know about it.
-
"...but i met more and more of them as Imoved east."Somehow we did end up with way more 'an are far share of 'em.
-
yup yup! thats one of the possibilites, but because its firm the PA has nearly ruled it out, however he doesnt know and thats why the specalist is so important, there is also a possibiliie of a rupture in the vasculs or something thats like spider viens in old peoples legs but ends up being a massive clump in te scrotom, cancer, a couple others. if it is whta the lnk you gave me suggests then its still surgery, jsut minor, and can be done in an office VS an OR. Hope for the best prepare for the worst, tis all you cna do in life, not to mention at this poitn we have no idea what it is, so Iv been researching it all. we do however hope to know this week and have it scheduled for correction in the very near future. it isnt painful or anything so he is released to play baskeball, try outs are tonight at 630 mountain time, so Ill be there for that. the firs tgame wont be fore a few weeks, and atbest this wont cause him to do more than miss a few practices. unless they have to remove a testicle, its akin to healing up after a vasectomy and should be normal life as alway after 3 or 4 days most of that time on a weekend so he isnt missing school. I jsut cant phathom how HOW it could happen and he could not say anything about it.As soon as I know what iM dealing with iLl make a post about it, in the correct section, till then I simply urge any kids that have a nut thats growing huge and fast to tell thier fukcing parents so they can seek out medical treatment. while its nto fun shit and maybe it is embarrassing, its certainly better to be a bit pissy over it than it is to think of the altertnatives that happen if its left it untreated.
-
"I just cant phathom how HOW it could happen and he could not say anything about it."I don't think it's him, it's just a manifestation of the age he's at. Even in very open households I doubt to many kids would be willing to say anything until it starts hurting.I think it goes to demonstrate, just how wrong, most parents are who live under the delusion that their kids are going to come talk to them about sex or drugs or whatever, should they have questions.Like I said, I don't think it's him. I think it's just the way kids are. I don't know, but I doubt I would have said anything. Of course I'm not a parent so it's more than likely I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. All I'm sayin' is it sure seems that way to me.
-
I can see tha point, but not with us. I mean he did come to me with questions about sex and drugs adn drinking. it was a bad fucking talk explaing my past drug usage and how its not hypocritical that I still dont approve of his trying shit out, sex was an easier talk than that one. he told me about his balls ayear or so ago and I looked and it was slightly bigger, like no reason to be concerned there isnt a pair in the world that are the same size, told him to watch it but most likely was fine if anthing changed wed go see a doctor. nevre said jack shit and a year or so later we find out by a doc and its the size of a grapefruit? fuck oh dear not a dingle mention inthe whole time it continued to grow. before it was just that it hung slightly lower than the opther one, not that it was really any bigger, this should of been brought up as soon as it started. maybe Im delusinal by thinking he should have told me there was a problem and that shit had changed, I dunno but I do know that when it gets that big, he HAD to know there was somethign wrong and told me. he could not have thought it was normal. too late, past all that shit, its time to deal with it now that we know about it and hope that some kid reading this now or in the future that has the same shit going on becomes alarmed and seeks help instead of waiting. If we are going to continue this conversation I prolly better make a new thread to discuss it in instead of derailing a couple of others and can just ad info as it progresses. just to illistrate how young yuo can be and end up with bad shit..hes 14, freshman in HS, 160 lbs and 6'1" and has been active and healthy for years, been playing ball for years and dominates his age group in all rec leagues hes been in. of course thats easy to do in basketball when your 6 foot and the other kids are 4 something. age doesnt mean shit, you cna have problems occur at any age just because your young doenst mean your invisinceable and it wont happen to you. speaking form experience Ill tell anyone who listens, your parents wont fuck ya over it, they wont make fun of you or give yuo any shit they want whats best for you, this would of all been easier had it been dealt with early on, dont let it go or wait to see what happens. If you have a problem for fuck sakes tell your parents, let them take soem of the stress and make shit happen to get it corrected.

That's very true, OldFolks.I do hope it turns out to be nothing major, Chance. I can well imagine how it weighs on your mind, and the feeling (untrue, but parents get it anyway) that you should have known.

I hope everything turns out well.

As do I.

I'm for uniforms. I'm really surprised that uniforms haven't been enforced where I live. When I was in middle school, there were countless fights between people who wore fubu and dixie outfitter shirts.

I think it's run it's course.

For the duration I worked in my sales job at Future Shop (kind of a commissioned salesmen version of Best Buy in Canada) I hated wearing a uniform, especially since I started on night shift doing inventory for entertainment and had the freedom to wear what I wanted when I started. The attire was black dress shirt and beige khaki's, and I still found it frustrating. I've always felt more comfortable and confident in my own clothes (though, I admit it gave me an appreciation for being able to choose what I wear) and I believe that shines through. I'm more willing to work, learn, and just be myself when I can truly be myself. I love being dressy if it's called for, but for the time I was working there it just didn't appeal to me because I'd wear the exact same thing 5 days a week.Maybe it's just me and a handful of others, but I find it frustrating and even slightly humiliating having to wear the same specific uniform all the time. I know it has its place, and in a job like that you should look professional and be set out from the customers so they know who you are, but it just didn't click well with me.My thinking of why it was like that is because I didn't see that as being me (I'm not a salesperson, it was just a job), so the little individuality I had felt like it was being taken away. For school, where you don't have the choice of not going, I don't believe it's right either (though a minimal dress code should be in place, there's obviously some things that aren't appropriate). Being my own person is very important to me and I don't like the idea of an institution that you are required to attend (well, I suppose there's home schooling) dictating that. Having a job I didn't want where I had to dress like that every day was bad enough. Now if it's my own choice, that's different.
-
Now I find it's hard to take the stance I do, because as much as I find it frustrating, if it would really decrease school problems like that then it might be worth it. Still... I'd have no desire to wear a mandated uniform if I were back in grade school.

I don't believe that removing individuality in schools by forcing students to wear uniforms improves anything! It just makes some kids mad because they can't express themselves through their clothing.Another con about uniforms is an emergency situation. If a parent has to identify their child in a large crowd, it would be a lot harder if he/she was wearing a uniform and therefore looked like everyone else of the same gender. If the child is not wearing a uniform, the parent can ID them by their face and clothing. With uniforms, they only have the face to go by.Of course, everyone has their own opinions. This just happens to be mine.

We get it dude. Time to let it go.
