Have you ever visited another country? I haven't, but my parents went to Canada for their honeymoon. I'm from the USA, just in case you're curious.

Visiting Other Lands

I strongly recommend travelling, especially travelling on the cheap. The more different the culture, the more you will learn.I've been in approximately 32 countries, all of them on the cheap.

I went ou-fo-contry for the first time last summer. I went, for a week, to Rome and Paris (not each). Had lots of good pasta and had my first crepe, which I've mentioned before, was heaven on earth. God, I wish I could have that again. Not to mention all the good lookin' people there
-
Sure, but it's just that whole feel of eating it in Europe, you know  ?
One place I wish I could go is Miami during its summer and stay in New York during the winter. You can say I like extreme weather, but I really don't think that's the reason. Something about Miami in the summer just calls out to me, "great scenery for another drama story!"

FMR-Yugoslavia, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Greece

I've visted France. It was an honour really. I'm stuck in shitty Africa. Just a few more years and I'm out of this plagued hell-hole!God, trust me, don't come here.

When I visited Paris, the weather was hell. It rained for like. thirty minutes, then stopped, and then rained again the next hour. But it was still fun. I liked it. Their subways are so much cleaner than the ones here in New York, but hey, I love New York because it's New York
-
Only place I went to was the REAL ghetto part of Mexico when I was a kid. BAD memories.
-
Ouch. You mean the real, real, REAL ghetto parts?

Si, as in living on no running water, no bathroom, no doors, very little electricity, eating off the farm animals, and we were in the middle of nowhere. But that's not why I didn't enjoy myself. My sister was a baby when me and my family visited. She got REALLY sick (possibly from the food or water) and was in the hospital the entire time we were there. My mom was so scared out of her mind. Luckily, my sister made it through.
-
What a horrible place of events! :open_mouth: I'm glad she's okay and well. I can't even possibly think to relate being that I'm the youngest in my family.
However, I can't imagine living under the conditions mentioned. Well, at least you guys're up and out of there now, huh?
-
Yeah, Paris is pretty sweet. Tolouse and Bordeux were awesome too. I didn't like New York - everyone's a douche bag.I really can't wait to get to Europe though - the cradle of civilization! Living in Johannesburg is like...living with archaic primitives I'm pretty much going to hate my parents forever for letting me born here.Once I get into Europe, hopefully, I'm never going anywhere!

Yup, that's exactly why both my grandparents and their families immigrated to the US.I thank them, my parents, and my lucky stars that I was born an American!

Canada (middle of nowhere), China (Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, Suzhou, Donghan Village, Hong Kong), Australia (Cairns, Sydney, Canberra, and some city in the more deserty part, don't remember name). I might also be going to the Mediterranean this summer, too.

I don't know if I've ever mentioned it, but I lived in Germany for 9 years. Other than that, I've been to England, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal, all that area.
-
I'm not a douchebag :'( And I happen to love New York
-
I'm from the UK and I've been to France, Germany, Czech Republic, Majorca, Holland, Switzerland, Italy, Tenerife, Spain, Portugal and Morocco. It's a REALLY good idea to visit outside your country, especially if you're American (IMO), because you'll get a lot more perspective on the world

I went to Japan once, 3 years ago. It was amazing. I plan on going back as soon as I can.
-
From Hungary here, been to Austria, Italy, Germany (quite a few times) and the Netherlands.
I wish I could afford going to a lot more places...
