I want them. I want to know what I'll be paying for. No need for actual numbers, I'm sure prices are a lot different over here, just give me a quick round-up of the bills that I'd be paying.(Oh, and I'm getting my cousin's old car for free, so no payments for that at least.)

Apartment and a car.

Toilet paper, cleaning supplies, all your personal care items, (deoderant, shampoo, soap, just to start), gonna have a computer? You will need to buy the paper and ink for the printer, and you will be in charge of repairs...Are you getting the furnishings for your appartment from someone? Oh, and there is the stuff you always just take for granted, like a shower curtain, towels, for the kitchen and the bath, pots pans, plates, bowls, and silver ware....I am sure someone will come up with more to add to the list!

Not only do prices vary, but also legal requirements. So I can only give what is needed over here.Apartment: Four weeks or one month rent in advance, plus the same again in bond-money, which you get back when you leave if the place is in good condition; rent; water, gas, electricity, telephone, ISP bills. Tenants here used also to pay council rates. Contents insurance (not compulsory, but should be considered in case of burglary, fire, flood, etc). The landlord is responsible for repairs, but not for redecorating. Furniture, if apartment is not furnished (usual).Car: Roadworthy certificate plus any repairs needed to make the car roadworthy (this can be substantial); ownership transfer fee (don't expect your cousin to keep it in his name, as that makes him liable for fines). Annual registration fee. Insurance (you want at least to have insurance against the damage you cause to another car when it's your fault, and against the other party's injury costs - this latter is compulsory here). Membership of motoring organisation (worthwhile for the towing). Petrol. Oil (especially if it's like my early cars, which drank oil). Occasional replacement of battery, lights, tyres, air filter, brake linings, welsh plugs, that manifold thing that always goes, fuel pump, alternator, gearbox, engine, etc, etc as they fail. Repair costs, towing costs from middle of nowhere at night.

I dunno about all these other people here, but here's what I pay:
- Rent (which includes utilities, but you'll have to pay that yourself unless you get lucky like me)
- Car Insurance
- Gas
- Food
- Internet/Cable (though I get internet for free, and I don't have a TV)
What more do you need than that?
