Ok I have a bit of a question here. On all the instructions that come with condoms it states that it is very important to retract the forskin before putting the condom on. When I follow these instructions I find it really uncomfortable when having sex because the frenulum pulls really tight. Is this normal or do I need to get circumcised? I can retract the forskin alright when soft but when hard I can only comfortably retract it halfway before the frenulum reaches the end of its tether. I can force it to fully retract but it is very uncomfortable to do so. I don't think the forskin itself is too tight, just that the frenulum is too short. Do you think that I should see a doctor about this? I'm not sure weather they would consider this as a genuine problem as the medical proffession seem abit anti-circ here in Oz.

Condoms and Uncircumcised Penises

If I just get hard and pull mine back it can be a little bit painful, but if I go slowly, sliding it back and forth to stretch it a little, then it is ok. I've used condoms a few times while masturbating and always play for a while first before putting them on, so I'm warmed up enough. If it's still a problem for you even after warming up and such first then yes, perhaps see a doctor. I think it's possible to have partial circumcision without having to have the whole foreskin removed, though I'm not sure.

There’s nothing wrong with your foreskin, strictly speaking, so there’s absolutely no need for drastic measures like getting circumcised. The frenulum can be stretched longer (with use, it pretty much will, but you can actively exercise the area too), with variable rates of success — look around, there’s been a lot of information posted on how to work on one’s foreskin and frenulum. That failing, it is possible to get the frenulum operated on: either to tie it less tight, or to completely remove it.

Welcome to A2A, dm0. As ralesk says, if necessary a doctor can cut the frenulum under local anaesthetic to make it longer. A short frenulum is a genuine medical problem; it has the medical name of "frenulum breve"; and the minor operation is called a frenuloplasty.

I would say do not retract the foreskin before applying the condom. That actually sounds ridiculous to me.
-
From what I’ve heard, it’s recommended you retract because otherwise during intercourse the skin gets pushed back and that action stretches the material thin and makes it break. I don’t really understand what’s going to push the skin back if it’s covered with something, but eh :P

i'd like to know whats the best brand or type of condom for the uncut penis? i had many problems with this. can someone that is uncut help
-
Upon further reading, you two are right.
-
I've never really had any problem with condoms and my uncircumcised penis. I've used both the Trojan supras, and the trojan original unlubricated and both worked fine.
-
Do you retract the foreskin before applying the condom?
-
Yes. Then again I don't see how else you could get the condom on. My foreskin pretty much retracts itself when I get an erection so it's near impossible to get a condom on with the foreskin up.
-
Have you used different kinds of condoms to see which one works best?. I'm uncut and when I'm hard, my skin slides back on its own, and like you, I have no trouble sliding it back when I'm soft...but when I put a condom on, I slide my skin back and it stays retracted...but I only use the "ultrathin" kind by Trojan...comes in a like a lightblue-ish box..and they fit great.Try using one with your skin pulled forward and see if it tears, I personally have never heard of a condom breaking due to the foreskin...see what works and doesn't and then talk to your doc, see if he has another alternative other than getting cut.

Thanks for your replies. I saw a doctor today about the problem and he said that my Frenulum is definately too short. He said I have three options; circumcision, frenuloplasty or do nothing at all. He gave me a referral to see a surgeon about either of the first two options. He also suggested if I do nothing, to apply the condom with the forskin forward and use spermicide or the pill as insurance. He said I have a good chance of tareing the fren if I have sex with the skin retracted. Now I have to decide between circ or plasty, any suggestions?

I would go for frenuloplasty. It's a much smaller operation, and much less drastic in its effects. If you don't find that satisfactory (which is unlikely) you can still go from there to circumcision, whereas you can't go the other way.
-
Try the frenuloplasty if applying the condom with the foreskin over the glans does not work as you will still be able to enjoy the benefits of having a foreskin.

i kno this is unrelated to the posters question but i have a related question. i am uncut but my forskin does not retract nd i have a great deal of difficulty putting condoms on and making them stay on, any sugestions?

Are the condoms the right size - tight but not unplesantly tight?
-
it might of been wrong size, it was a loner off a friend, it was quite uncomforatble but it was the only one i had at the time. ill try nd find owt. thnx for the help
-
You might want to measure the girth (circumference around) your erect shaft - this is what determines the proper size.
-
how would i go about doing that? i always thought small medium and large was refering to length
