Dear all,I would like some helpful comments on this situation. I am 20 years old Gay guy. Last Saturday I met a guy and we kissed and musterbated each other on the first date. We've been doing the same thing since then (1 week) 2 days ago, for the first time he went down on me (without me wearing a condom) and gave a blowjob twice. He kept doing it until I cumed but didn't eat it or anything. I didn't go down on him. He said that he's clean although he has one concern, because 2 months ago he was drinking in a gay club and passed out for 4 hours because of the alcahol. When he came back to his senses, he found himself robed. So he's afraid that perhaps they must have done something else to him not just robe him only. So... in the morning I woke up with a sore throat, and I felt really weak all day. Although I must admit I haven't slept much before. After i went to work for 12 hours and when came back home i slept for 10 hours because I felt really weak.My question is, what is the risk for me, in the case he is HIV infected for me to get it, with kissing him and musturbating him?And I know sore throat is one of the symptoms of HIV, but will I get the symptoms after a week? ... because I read it varies from 2 - 6 weeks (sometimes even more) for the first symptoms to occur.. (is this true?) And he went down on me 2 days ago.Thank you.Sorry my english isn't so good. I don't know how to speak it very well.EE

HIV Risk? Please help me, I'm freaking out...

Unless you had extreme open sores in you mouth (ulcers, abcess) The chance is VERY slim. Sounds more like chlamydia or gonorrhea.
-
Or just a cold or other respiratory virus.
-
I agree with both of you, it's most likeliy nothing.
-
Ah, but it's good people worry about these kinds of things and don't just label it as nothing, huh?And to the OP:Don't worry; you speak English fine. Better than some people I know, too...

Thanks for all your help, although I think it's best to get tested to be sure. How long will I have to wait till I can go and take the test and the result will be 100% accurate?I still feel very tired, even though today I slept for most of the day. Could stress of continuesly thinking about this situation, can cause all this tiredness? If in the case I was infected with the virus, how long it takes for me to start feeling its symptoms?ThanksEE

Stress and worry can straight up kick your ass.Tiredness, and even illness can be caused by it. I beleive, the more accurate results are found somewhere between 3 and 6 months on.

It's really extremely unlikely that you might contract HIV by kissing and being given a blowjob. There are other viruses or bacteria that are much easier to catch that way, such as a cold, or mononucleosis. I think the first step should be to see how the sore throat develops.

I looked up mononucleosis because I never heard about it. I found this link Mononucleosis I have most of those symptoms now. But then again, I looked up HIV symptoms and they're more or less the same. I'm worried sick... Yesterday, I started coughing, my ear aches, I feel very tired, sore throat, muscle and joint pain, swollen lymph nodes, I reduce my appetite, and fatigue. This can be diagnosed by a blood test right? How long will I have to wait for the results will be accurate to this disease? Tomorrow I'm going to my doctor and I'll explain the situation. I just really hope that it's Mononucleosis and not HIV. I'm feeling terrified.

I think somethings fishy about the original guy's story that he was robbed and something else MIGHT have happened. I would think one KNOWS if he/she's been violated back there. But at the same time I think you're overreacting, but here's some infoAsk your doctor about the early test, if it's available in your area.I live in San Diego and there is ONE test site only through UCSD where you can get tested TWO WEEKS after a high risk behaviour. If not, you have to wait 6 months.HIV symptoms hardly ever start showing themselves this early. Also what you did was considered low risk.I suggest you wear a condom next time and avoid the stress.

I know what you mean... but his concern wasn't that they raped him... because he didn't find any semen no where on his body or his clothes removed. He's afraid they might have transfered some of infectiive blood to his system someway or another while he was uncontious... It's just a concern. On second thoughts he said that most likely nothing like that happened. Tomorrow he's making an appointment at the GU clinic to make the test. We'll have to ask the doctor how accurate the test would be in 2 months. Before he leaves the country (Yes, because he's a foreigner) he wants to rest my mind that he is clean. Thanks again for all the help. Your comments I find them rest of the mind when I read them..And yes, next time, no condom no anything...

Honestly, HIV is not a instant virus; since the virus SLOWLY destroys the immune system, and isn't so much a 'visible' type of virus or infection (like a cold etc)
Here in the west, it isn't unusual to be symptom free for months, or years, really.
I agree that it is VERY unlikely that you have been infected; but it wouldn't be a bad idea to get things checked out anyways. Overall though, Helm's explanation pretty much nailed it.
