I bet you could have asked that in a pm. Just joking. My brother in law shot himself in the foot with a nail gun, not once, but twice. Good times.(oh, and I'm on the side of whoever is naked at the moment)

I have a 200 gallon 20 HP compressor at my disposal try moving htat fucker around!we installed it in my buddys garage, 220 volts, muthafucka big bastard. we use it to tear down and rebuild cars, and have 200' of air hose so we can use it around his house as well. The one I like and use the most is 15 gallons, I foget teh HP and Im not going to the shed to look! its maybe 60 lbs empty and witha small ramp its not a big deal to wheel into and out of the back of my truck. I can hook up two guns to it at once and save my ass alot of work swapping between nailers and staplers and what not, I can also run two nail guns at once for roofing.it set me back about 1600 dollars, but that was with 2 100 foot hoses and 1 nail gun, 1 stapler 1 brad gun and one air grinder and several quick connects for spares. single tank with wheels and a push bar. Iv been looking into a pancake comp for smaller shit taht I can easily toss into the back of the truck for smaller jobs or when Im trying to run two locations at once.THe one thing I know is you can never have too many tools, it never hurts to buy another one!Plus, once I buy one, my big compressor will run a concrete saw and a jackhammer because its got teh balls to do so.for a tiny portable, Id buy a pancake, light portable and Iv seen em for under 200 dollars with 4 gallon tanks and 3 HP motors to run em.matter o fact yesterdays mail brought a new harbor freight catalog and thumbing through it on the shitter I saw a few that style for 150 and under.
-
I LOVE Harbor Freight! I get into SOOOO much trouble there..lolI was eying the generator..The ads just never give you enough info.
-
tolsl that I cant get to last very long anyways I buy there, they do not have the greatest shit, but they do have good shit. tools taht take alot of abuseand I have to replace once a year or so anyways Ill buy there.I recently got a corded cawsall style cut off saw for 13 bucks there we then used it to cut apart an entire car. a torch would of been faster but fuck! the price to refill teh tanksand all the fumes...we wanted the garage closed, its too fucking cold to leave the door open right now.I destoryed nearly a dozen blades to do it but the saw still runs fine. when ya got old cars that your done with and are going to scrap ya get more for em if they are hauled to a recycle place for tonnage instead of a car place for scrap, recyclers dont take whoel cars but they do when its in 300 pieces in a trailer Besides his woman was getting pissy about the fact we had 8 cars there and only 4 of them even run or had an engine in them, we had to get rid of a couple for his sanity in living with her.
-
Yep, that is my philosophy with them too!OR, if it is a tool I will rarely use, I will grab it there, because then I am not out a bunch of bucks for some shelved tool...Like the generator. I might use it 2x a year...why pay a fortune for that? If I am on a job without power, I am on a job with a contractor who already has a generator. I just need one to push my well and maybe a fridge when the power goes out.I just wonder if this one has 220?!?! I also get my crappy staining/stripping brushes there, better than dollar store stuff, but not as expensive as the other places.
-
we just picked up a generator for 200 dollars, its about 12 lbs, runs at 60 DCB so its quite from about 50 feet of cord and with teh muffler Im going to put on itit shouldnt be bad at all.its for camping most my shit is cordless, or I can use the house Im working on for power to supply the rest of the shit.I dont do alot of new construction so it doesnt matter toomuch, I do have an older generator, thast loud as fuck, but will run higher voltage, I use it if I really need power and cant get it, bought the little one for poweringtrailers and campers and shitfor this summer.I dont especially care about power inteh woods most times but its nice to have if the gas takes a shit or the fridge and you need to run it on electric instead of gas. for car camping its niice to take a trailer or camper but I will always prefer teh 20 mile back pack trips into remote areas and staying in a hammock or a tent at best.
-
I am taking the trailer into consideration too...but I know I don't need much to run that thing.(Except the dang people who visit from the coast and need the stupid air conditioner!)
For us, propane and the batteries will run all of what we need.
Even at that, something from Harbor will do the trick. I should just get a small swamp for the guests, and make em deal..lol
-
actually my buddy has a ac in his camp trailer and this generator will run it, I dont recall teh price, I havent paid my half yet  havent seen him to do so, but it came from checker auto and wasnt much I know its under 200
-
Have to check that out...but I will go to Kragen here, I think they are Checker out there..I just hate spending loads of money on stuff I won't hardly use.My bbq was worth every penny, cause I use that at least 1x a week rain or shine! But a generator, 2x a year...pshh..
-
checker kragen... same place. aside from teh name.He had seen it in the weekly flyer and aske dme if Id go in on it half so his woman was so pissed about how much he spent for a generator he wont be using till summer. I figure I use his power sometimes in summer when we all go together to blow up air matresses or to hide in his trailer when we hit the desert and suckj up his AC so I went half on it, besides we also bought a boat together and are getting ready to start stripping and restoring it before summer hits, Ill end up doing a hell of a lot less work on that baot than he will so this makes us come out a bit easier and should I ever dedcide to go when he sint I can taket eh generator and use it if I need to then.

I WANNA BOAT! pout Actually, we want a patio boat, great to camp in out on Shasta. And light to tow...IDK...we will see. Gotta get a different rig first. Right now we take two to go anywhere fun.
-
this is a small boat, just for fishing, and not big enough to tow a skiier. it ran aground we gotta grind it all down and cut out a huge hole and weld and grind out a patch in aluminum. I want a ski boat, better yet a patio boat Imwith you on that.they do make a floating island though with like a tramp in the middle of it for about 300 bucks Iv seen. that sisland a a ski boat Id be happy and fuck shasta, Im thinking lake powell, if youv never been, no web site or pics can do it jsutice, if ya go jsut stay the fuck outta bullfrog.
-
Shasta is big, but I like Whiskeytown and Eagle best. I have heard Powell is awesome, but I'm not really planning more than a weekend for this mad crew!Last year at Eagle the boy came home all beat up, and his momma was PISSED! But if the little twirp listened, he would have put on his socks, and NOT just chomped a flaming marshmallow...Kids. I lost a fresh pack of smokes because he decided he could swim away from the shore and then freaked over not being able to touch.Though because he decided not to wear his socks, he couldn't walk for all the blisters and I got to take off with my kiddo and had a great morning fish with her alone!

I have camping and horror stories as well! last summerI had my foot tops blistered so fucking bad I couldntput on shoes to drive us home. The only sun burn I had was my fucking feet! one of the lakes we like to fish in the uintahs we got run off of by bears, moose in the rivers in the back country, large animals moving around in the forrest around us... but my favorite is julie once waking me up telling me theres an animal outside in our camp, I listened and sure as fuck growling and shit being tossed to and fro and something moving around, the kids in a seperate tent... I go outside and cant see shit buthear it moving around, finally I find it with a flashlight andthe pistols pointedright on teh bastardthing, and its a fucking dog, the guy a ways down walking around calling his dog and me telling him to come get it or Ill put it out of my fuckign misery... fun times, the bastard had dug a hole and tunnelled out through the floor in the tent of the people a ways down adn run off.
the best part being that when julei thought a bear was outside she disapeared, grabbed the 4 year old and curled up in a ball in the bottom of the sleeping bag in the middle of the tent and waited for me to solve it all.
SHe layed there shaking waiting to hear the gun go off and was simply confused when I started yelling at some asshole in the dark that i could hear but not see to get his fucking dog.
good times -
Yeah I remember the moose story, pics too I think. My girls and I have a BLAST camping, but the boy has got to get some thicker skin...Shit, he cries when I send him out to haul some wood. You KNOW those fourteen inchers are heavy lol. He would die if I still had my dad's stove. We cut 24's for that thing and you could put a 12' round log in it! Here, the friggin box is only 14x14x12 so you know the wood has to be split pretty small!I think it is all SO good for em.
-
it is good for them, and for him too. its too shitty to camp now, get his ass some books, tell him hes gonna godo teh cooking when ya camp, give him a job and expect it done right. hes jsut lazy, needs a kick in the ass and some responsability.myyoungest (not hte 4 year old butof hte two I had before Julie) was the same way, now hes gung ho to go and gathers all thewood for a night, wants to gut all the fish, ready to cook and tend fires and help the little one out with fishing andbaiting hooks and reeling em in and always teaching him shit when we go on walks and hikes.it jsut took getting him involved to swing it from a lazy boob toa real camper.
-
OH You don't know me very well! I put his arse to it. His mother is quite the bitch though. Still dealing with that! He goes to her and cries about it, then she bitches at his dad...who..does his best to shrug it off, but STILL sometimes buys into her shit!
You know, since school started, and I been shutting off the tv he has grown 2 inches, and lost 4 pounds! He is VERY proud of how he is starting to look. Still working on that whiney thing though!!!
