I'm am an Army Cadet in my university, and completed Army Basic Training, so needless to say, I'm in fairly decent shape. But it seems like for the past few weeks my bones crack, crunch, and rub against one another when I do my push ups. It makes them much harder to do, needless to say. It really doesn't hurt per say, as it just feels like fingernails a chalkboard. A light dull pain.Any ideas how to help with that?

so your bones are cracking a lot?? i have no idea what to do to help with that. it happens to me sometimes too. i'll do pushups and the same bone will crack every time I do a push up, but maybe after a week or so it'll be fine. it doesn't hurt, but it can be annoying to me. don't know how to help but to wait.

Prolly should mention it's my shoulders that seem to feel like sandpaper on sandpaper. Also, when I do flutter kicks (laying on the back and elevating the legs one at a time, keeping them off the ground in motion) My hip-joint pops, sometimes painfully, as well.

Quote:it's my shoulders that seem to feel like sandpaper on sandpaper.Have you had any professional appraisal of this? It doesn't sound normal to me.

no, it only just started happening not long ago, and I figured before I get something done about it, I see if maybe there's an easy home fix. Bound someone somewhere has had it happen to them.

well, i don't know. I've had bones crack, but not even slightly painfully.

Think it might be a cartilage problem?

Most likely.. Your "bones" don't crack. If they did you would have a broken bone.

I've cracked my knuckles, neck or back, but I've never cracked my bones. I've just never heard anyone phrase it that way.

Sorry, that's just how I was brought up to say joints. Doesn't mean it's right. Yes, I mean my Shoulder joints.I'll get it looked into when I get back to school.
