I was wondering if accidently bleeding all over the bed is something every girl commonly does while that time of the month. I only know that my girlfriend does and my mom from seeing her bed sheets. Is it easy to prevent?

Usually, most women know when their period is going to start and should be prepared. Using a pad, tampon or just a towel on the sheets should take care of things. If she's getting her period all over the sheets regularly, then I think she's just lazy. my mom from seeing her bed sheets That's not a sentence. What are you trying to say?

Quote:If she's getting her period all over the sheets regularly, then I think she's just lazy. I don't bleed on my sheets often. USUALLY, I only do if I fool around like the night or two before I SHOULD start, something about that kicks me off early sometimes. I have issues with every (any) one knowing that I am on my period, the trash is wrapped, and under the bathroom sink cabinet, and my sheets are kept clean. There are no pads, tampons, or wrappers of them ANYWHERE, except out of sight in the cabinet lol, even if you were to look in my purse, you wouldn't see them unless you were digging pretty hard!I don't understand the mess of it myself. Disgusting.

This leads to something I never even thought about. As a male, I generally find it very easy to forget the whole concept of women having periods. (I apologize, but I guess I just don't expose myself to it all too often)But in hindsight, of all the times I slept with my Ex Girlfriend while she was on her time...I never thought about that even being a possibility. I don't even know what I would have done if I woke up and there was blood. I would probably have yelped in surprise, and begun examining myself, in case I had cut something open by some freak accident.I should really think about the obvious a bit more I suppose....Luckily/sadly I don't have to worry about any of that for the time being, seeing she left me for someone else.

I've had my period for about 18 years now and I have never bled on my bed sheets. My period starts off fairly slow and light so if I get it in the middle of the night it might stain my underwear, and if I am on my period I usually wear a tampon to bed and use backup with a pad as well to prevent anything.

You're lucky, because my period was ridiculous, it used to be SUPER heavy (you know those giant tampons? I went through those like every 2 hours)... I just gave up on colored bedsheets, and started just using white, so I could bleach them.

That much bleeding is a health issue, you seem to have taken care of it. Though they also make some very good pads for overnight that are washable and water proof.I have a bed wetter who does not go through those pads. Better than a towel any day!
