Has anyone ever had a cortisone shot in their wrist?
Does it hurt as much as one in the knee?
I'm feeling like a big panty-waist baby and the appointment isn't for another week...

Ouch!

Never had one, no idea what it is. The worst jab that I've had is a nice tetanus shot in the bum. Big needle, straight down to the bone.

Well I have had them. 3x actually, and I hurt for about a week, but not unbearable. My doc put novacane in the syringe as well, so it hurt a bit at first, then it didn't hurt at all for several hours. The carpal tunnel I have flairs up and hurt much worse!!!I am assuming your shot is for a similar issue? Anyway, if it is ANY consolation, after the third shot, I haven't had to go back for two years now.

It is carpal tunnell, according to the doc.So you're saying if I endure the shot a few times (and can that really be much worse than the pain I'm dealing with now?) then eventually I won't have to deal with the shots or the pain? (Or at least in your experience.)

Yes, that has been my experience.
Also the idea of a chiropractor ISN'T a bad one at all. After I learned how to re ajust my wrists, and thumb I have less troubles than before (though it is temorary, it IS immediate releif). Though I learned that well after I had gone through the series of shots.

I always felt that chiropractors were charlatans, And I know there are quacks out there.I went to a chiropractor once when I had severe neck pain. He twisted the shit out of my neck (which didn't help), poked around in my stomach and claimed that I had a problem with my gall bladder which was causing my neck pain. He prescribed some chinese herbal medicine (which he sold in his office)... F'n idiot...Turns out I had a ruptured disk in my neck...
